An ambient noise of S2 to start with isn't so bad lol. I have minimum S5 almost all the time but I live in suburbia. What would have been interesting would be to see you adding one choke at a time to see which choke had the most effect or if each one contributed in addition to the overall reduction. I find its usually one noise source that's the major issue and once quenched gives the greatest gains in noise reduction. If you can find that, probably don't need to spend a bunch of money using the scattergun method.

I wish I had the noise floor you have even before the kit. In town S7 not uncommon. Modern day electronics don't care about radio anymore.
I purchased the kit with the CMNF-500-50 in it, have to say it has done wonders for removing QRM. I have done alot of work in removing interference from my setup, but this really removed any last trace of interference. Its so good I've ordered the 2 more HF and 2 more VHF filters for my other radios, I'm especially looking forward to seeing how well it will perform with and noisey end-fed antenna. I wish there was a UK retalier, but glad i can get these from the US and they arrive very quick !
Yeah at home I get S9 noise, I brought my rig to a country location on a cliff top and was blissfully silent. Weak signals were easy. At the moment an ideal excuse to go on a picnic. This was a 40 minute drive, would like to try a closer location.

You wouldn't see a difference in QRN using this ferrites and chokes. They are commonly used to reduce CMC (Common Mode Current) running "loose" in your setup during transmit.
I would be thrilled with 2 0r 3 s-units noise floor...mine is more like S8 - S9.

I have not. As my antenna setup I was using in this video was destroyed in a storm. My current antenna setup isn't as high up and didn't figure it'd make it a fair comparison

This will not work for me, as all of the noise sources in my apartment building are in other suites. I will have to use an MFJ-1026 instead.
Not sure how much the kit cost but I'm betting that you could have bought the same gear at Amazon for much cheaper. I'm getting 10 ferrite chokes and it's costing me less than $7.
Know there are different qualities and number ferrites out there too, You might be able to get the parts similar cheaper if look around. But they may not be of good quality
I have a 10 m import. I guess they would call it, 26 MHz quiet 25 MHz is quiet 24 MHz is quiet 28 MHz quiet but the one I use the most which is 27 MHz I have a nine noise level white noise , I’ve tried everything I can’t stand it anymore. Can you imagine a nine noise level only at night? I can’t talk to any of my friends.
You might possibly have something in your home causing interference. Or something in your area

Not a equal test, your first antenna you had the receive pre amp1 turned on. The off center fed with no noise you had the receive pre amp off. How much of a kick back did you get from Palomar for the video.

some bands it was on some bands it was off. 21.200 had pre-amp 1 on for before and after which shows a big difference in noise. You can see the trademark wobbly electrical interference around 21.200 in the before. Although, it could very well have been an AC unit or washing machine, etc, and it may have been off for the after test.
I tried that same kit on my 7300, didn't reduce any noise what so ever. I emailed Palomar customer support and never received a response from them. I'll prolly never use them again. W5EDM
