Honestly the Figure-Rise Cell means I really don't need a 2.0 Cell (personally at least). There's so many figures and even other 2.0s that I'd rather have before Perfect Cell, heck I'd MUCH rather get his first and second form. The Figure-Rise is just great really, Only thing I can pick at about him is how wide his hips are
If they didn't use that double ball peg they wouldn't have been able to get some of those iconic poses that he does so I think that's why they came for this one. Hopefully they keep it up
I don't really know anything about Dragon Ball, but I always loved Buu's design and weird apocalyptic bizzaro swagger. He feels like a force of nature, or something un-understandable. The unknown, or unknowable. I love villains that play that angle up. Cool shit.
Add to that his ocean dub English voice, that impatient produce produce hour glass nature and the quick end of everyone on earth in seconds blast move. He's super indeed.
You're right shading is needed, specially on bright or white parts so that you can appreciate the details on all angles... I always panel line my Gunpla to make the details pop out...
With gotenks coming out in the figurise line, I'd love it if they came out with Super Buu in figurise. Maybe come with the alternate head and a different upper torso so you can swap in parts from gogeta, Piccolo and goku to make his different forms.
I didnt remember super buu being that damn tall, but looked it up and he is a smooth 8 feet. Ive watched the entire dbz series multiple times and still forget random shit.
One thing I learned from the Spiderman roveltech figures is that smart sacrifices in joint appearances do wonders in poseability. I don’t know about you, but possibility in a figure like this takes precedence over making the joints looking “good.” Making the joints look better can sacrifice poseability, and at the end of the day, it’s a plastic action figure. Are there designs that don’t make sense? Yeah. And I entirely understand why joints can look distracting intrusive, but as Anthony said, it’s plastic against plastic and you can only do so much. Honestly, I’d prefer is a functional, fun to pose figure with a joints galore than a figure that becomes more restricted as they try to engineer a way to hide the joints. But, if it’s any consolation, I do think there is the possibility for the engineering of a perfect blend between posing and joint appearance. I mean it’s gotten pretty close before.

When they make Kid Buu, it will probably be the most articulated figure ever. Because it needs to be able to do that pose where he gets his legs wrapped around and becomes like a ball.

Thanks for the review ! As far as I'm concerned, I absolutely love that figure. There are only 3 (quality) articulated figures in that scale of Majin Boo. The fat one, the figurise of Kid Boo which is nice enough. And him. But Super Boo is the best version of the character, the most iconic of the story arc and has the funniest moments with Gotenks. Thats accurate to the show/manga. Buu has always had weird proportions. I feel it really adds to his aesthetic a lot.
@@justinmiller9865 just checked some Manga artwork and he's knees should be a little bit higher
