MGK helped me recover from a terrible accident. I was hit by a car leaving me paralyzed from the waste down, and doctors said I may never walk or stand again. One day, Emo Girl came on the radio and it gave me the strength to walk over and turn it off.

Corey is real and raw. I’ve always liked him from a teen. Im now almost 46. This guy has my respect and always have. Stone Sour great band as well. Helped me in many times.

Slipknot really spoke to me as a teen. I was suffering through a lot of trauma and depression and going through the normal life changes as well. He is poetic, articulate, and the instruments boom deep into the soul.

Cory Taylor has one of the largest vocal ranges ever recorded in human history. He is an incredible vocalist and poetic songwriter. Machine gun can’t even sing or bend a guitar note into key. We don’t need to acknowledge MGK in the music community to any capacity.

I can’t speak for others but slipknot has pulled me through the best and absolute worst times of my life. I’m 35 and saw them live just last night and it makes me seriously happy to see younger crowds embracing them the same as we did. If you ever find yourself at a metal concert you’ll quickly learn that metal heads are some of the kindest and more respectful people you’ll ever meet

I listen to all genres of music and I’m from Chicago.. I was actually one of the fans watching “the old weird dudes with masks”.. I listened to MGK but without a doubt I’d rather see Slipknot for the 30th time tear it up. Their live shows are amazing.

I was never a fan of Slipknot, but my mom had a soldier who was going through depression at the time they had him on watch because he was found laying on the roof of a building jamming out to music. My mom asked me if I could talk to him, I did and he was going on and on about Slipknot and I remember smiling.. anyways the military ended up kicking him out and my mom fought for him with no luck. A few months later we received emails from him saying how sorry he was and he loved us. We later learned that after writing the emails he took his own life. A few months after that Slipknot came to EP Texas and me and my mom went to see them, for him.

Unfortunately his depression got the best of him and he told the army if you kick me out I have nothing "no family" so it was pretty sad because he was only 19 or 20 at the time and he did what he did

Corey Taylor is one of rock's most talented and classy frontmen. Notice how the only reason he ever took umbrage in the first place was in defense of others. People can rag on Slipknot all they like (but it's fine not to enjoy the music obv) but Corey's been a hugely positive influence in the genre since he started. And in my opinion a top Hall of Fame talent.

Listening to some of these newer rock artists or so called rock artists is just pure crap. Autotune to death with computer software programming instruments in much of this shit very similar to current pop genres like rap and hip hop. It sucks. Just watched a concert on UA-cam in October of 2021 by Pat Benatar and she and her band still kick ass even in their mid to late 60s when compared to these newer MGK so called rock musicians. This 68 year, Patricia Giraldo, of Pat Benatar is still pure gold with real and raw vocals and the music is heavily guitar driven which is what rock is supposed to sound like along with real instruments instead of this mix of computer software driven fake instrument shit that is common in hip hop that for some stupid reason today's young rock musicians want to fill in their music.
