I just spent 3 hours trying to get those damn bolts out. I haven't looked yet, but I assume mine are counter clock-wise as well. Thank you so much!
Yes they are reverse threaded. Super annoying. I learned the hard way as well. Hope you were able to get them out.

Counterclockwise mean they were put in that way, so you have to go clockwise to take them out?
Exactly. They are reverse threaded so in this case righty loosey lefty tighty. Exactly the opposite of what you are used to doing.
You dont need to undo the screws.. Just pull out the pin and you get the Barrel out
