Thank you!
In depth analysis and I think highlighting the benefits of farming food XP in dungeons was achieved. However, I also think you need to include the value of getting usable gear or sellable gear in dungeons vs very low silver gear from campaign. I think your analysis actually underestimates the value of farming in dungeons when you don't include the silver benefits (especially from solo spider builds!). I almost exclusively use dungeons to farm XP/silver except for champ training events in which I need to get to 12-14k points for a leggo book in a very short window of time.
Good point! The only goal for this was to highlight the low win rate needed to be efficient on farming food in dungeons. Previously I had only heard a 95% win rate was needed, but I'm fact a lower win rate works too
What does "Lost Energy if used in 12-3" mean and how is it related to the caculation? Sorry if I'm dumb here.
No worries! I will do my best to try and explain here.
With our win rate being below 100%, I wanted to take the energy from our failed runs and say "what if all of this energy was used on 12-3 instead"
Example:
If you have a 90% win rate on D20, then over 100 Runs you will fail 10 of them, for a total of 160 energy that you "wasted". I then took that 160 energy and "used" it on 12-3 brutal to see how much exp we got. I then subtract that exp from the total we got from our successful 90 runs. I hope that makes sense!
Hello Illegalmist and great thanks for all this. However your video may lack some introduction words going straight to the point, something like this : farming brutal 12-3 is the optimal way to farm food when it comes to energy/exp rate. But on the other hand, in this video, i will demonstrate that if you are NOT growing food in dungeons is clearly a waste of ressources, and moreover give you guidelines to choose the optimal dungeon level for YOU to grow food. Well, you would say it better than this since you are a content creator and i am not, but just trying to give you a positive yet critical feedback. Peace !
Thank you lemmer89! I am still new to making videos and feedback like that is super helpful! I think you are right, I do juno right in when I should give more context beforehand
Cool vid. However the link you provided points to a spreadsheet with sparring pit math on it. I noticed the title of the spreadsheet in your vid is "RAID sparring pit cost" so you probably overwrote it and forgot to change the name or something.
Thank you! I just updated it so you get the correct sheet. You're right, I did my math on the sparring pit excel before making this one it's own document lol
Lately I have been farming 12-6 nightmare just to speed up the experience on the food. No clue if it is worth the energy or not to be honest....
I can try and look into it!
@@illegalmist_RSL Much appreciated!
@@danielst.germain554 Okay sorry for the wait, but I finally had time to add 12-6 Nightmare. It's to the right of the regular calculators, and has a banner saying "Nightmare Campaign 12-6 Comparison"! Let me know if you have any questions!
@@illegalmist_RSL Thanks man! So from what I am seeing, it is best to farm in 16-6 nightmare (unless I am reading it incorrectly.)
As fast as exp for sure! I think the mm sides are no mystery shards and needing a NM farmer for most!
I'm sorry, what is the TLDR here? I am missing the benefit. 16 energy in 12-3 equals 48 energy in D20 with 3 food heros. So why would you spend 48 energy instead for the same XP food result?
The TLDW is that farming food on dungeon stages is very beneficial for your account, and if you are not doing it, you are losing out on potential energy savings you could have gotten. The video breaks down just how efficient it is to farm each dungeon with food, and if you decide to farm a dungeon with food champions, it will tell you what win % you need so that you are not wasting your energy.
You farm dungeons for gear, not for experience. If you do both, you save yourself energy. I did the math to see how much energy you save based on win rates/food champs/dungeon/stage.
@@illegalmist_RSL Maybe I'm missing something. It's not more energy / exp efficient to farm Dungeon 20 vs. B 12-3...
In B 12-3 you use less energy to get more usable experience...
Yes but on 12-3 brutal you only get exp. Dungeons you get gear, making them very efficient to farm with food
It sounds more like the real purpose was to say... "Obviously you farm food on 12-3, but you should always attempt to put 3 food in on dragon 20 (insert dungeon here), because as long as you have a 75% win rate, you come out ahead!" That makes sense. It absolutely does not make sense to say the inverse "Never farm food on 12-3, because it's not as good as farming 3 food on dragon 20"
@@illegalmist_RSL I'd lead with that...
