So my question is guys, I Fail the first time I can’t take another test at home?
The answer to this is now YES-- which was not the case at the time I made this video. You can now take retakes at home. The only restriction is that if you don't pass the second time, you'll have to wait 60 days to attempt it again (at home).
So let’s say I fail the math test, I won’t get a chance to take Social studies test at home because I fail math.... I just really want to understand If this correct
@@KingsForLife40 No, each test is considered individually. If you fail a math test, you can retake that math test at home the next day... and if you fail that too, you can retake it at home 60 days after that. How you score on a social studies test doesn't impact-- and isn't impacted by-- the math test. Each test is a separate thing.

I had to rescedual my test as i was following the instructions. When asked to click begin test that link never appeared. Did i do something wrong? I waited for 30 minutes with no results.

I ended up changing my online to taking it at my local testing center. I’m a new mom and The only place I’m able to take it is at my job. (We’ve been closed inside due to COVID-19.) still a lot of movement inside from my coworkers but I don’t want to get kicked out for them hearing other voices. Also the fact that we can’t use note paper or a real calculator. I’ve taken math 3 times and failed. I’m not about to fail a 4th time. I’ve been studying my ass off for the last 3 months just to pass. My practice test score for math was a 154 so that’s making me feel positive in myself

I did one of my test last week and my toddler burst in the room screaming and calling me and I panicked and opened my eyes wide at the screen but the lady watching me told me to continue 😩😂

Virginia is currently free for GED tests, in person or online through Adult Education Program enrollment for a limited time.

I just finished RLA, Science, and Social Studies online. Once I got past my nerves it was a breeze. It went smoothly.
Out of curiosity and if you don't mind me asking what were your scores and how was the Language arts test?

I did RLA, and that was the worst since it was my first, i read through it fast and rushed it to end it, luckily passed it despite all that (149), after my nerves went away i did social studies and passed (161), did science, didn’t realize you couldn’t use paper and were so many math questions, wasn’t prepared, but luckily passed (151), ive yet to do math but after doing all that math on science and not being able to do the math problems on paper im going in person for that one! Once you get passed some person staring at just specifically you and your screen it’s pretty effective and east!
Damn they act like the world will end if somebody cheats not saying I would just saying the requirements for the test are overboard and ridiculous

When you arrive at the test center do you have to fill out any paperwork?
In Michigan it is $7 more to take it online. If you fail your test, you can take another one right away. If you take your practice test, then schedule your test on the same day they usually give you free retakes.

imagine you have your brother trolling someone on the internet and get ddos'ed while your sitting and doing the test in your room. $75 wasted but this is a rare case.

One thing to note is the math test "scratchboard" sucks so you basically have to do all the laying out of equations in your head

Thank you for this video. I have a question. I am disabled in the in a Guild chair and I think the best option for me is to take it at home GED test. But the Internet that I use is a hotspot that I used through my phone Verizon wireless. I connected to my laptop and it works just fine. I have no problems with videos and things think that would be OK. Or do I need a stronger Internet connection? I also have one more question on the camera. I have that on my laptop computer is that good enough camera or do I need a webcam? Thank you for your time you have a great day now

It’s absolutely awful!!!!! I took my math test and was completely stressed out the whole time I was testing. It’s ridiculous!! You have to do EVERYTHING on the computer including rough work/scratch pad. It’s hard enough trying to remember certain steps in math let alone having to deal with all the ridiculous rules they had. Pass mark is 145 and up and I got 144.
I scheduled a test for online and after reading all these I’m probably thinking it’s best to just take it at my local testing center. I’ve failed the math 3 times and don’t feel like failing again. After I read you can’t use any tools I’m thinking it’s best to go to a testing center

they seriously need to change how they do online testing. expecting people to write out all their math problems with a MOUSE on a virtual notepad is actually ridiculous and slows us down immensely

Had a student who experienced the same problem. The launch link did not appear for her to begin. Had her call and email GED to received a case number and they rescheduled her without paying again.
Took all 4 online and passed !!

My question is do they let you review your answers after the test so I can see which ones I got wrong or not and do they use the same questions on the retake like if I fail and take it again am I given a new set of tests or are they the same?

You can't see which one you got wrong or not, it's different everytime you take it.
Thanks for the information and your content it's pretty solid I'm not a huge fan of doing it online and I have a problem because I'm more of an auditory learner so it helps when I talk and think aloud and ask myself questions I got told something for mumbling to myself lol but not much testing sites are open near me or close so I have to utilize this from home testing

But I'm halfway done now and it is pretty convenient I'll give them that I'm taking language arts on Friday and Math next Friday or Saturday to finish up not gonna lie a little disappointed at my scores but for the little bit of time I've put into doing the test passing is passing at this point I just need to get this done so I can enlist in the military

I passed them all first try 6 months after dropping out of 10th grade, both the ged ready tests and the official ged tests 😭 I was mind blown

I took science, social studies, language arts online. Math, I am doing at a testing ctr. I need to write the problems. Like, impossible for me to just do it in the computer..

@@claris4799 I was a bit disappointed in my scores not gonna lie at this point I'm more concerned with passing lol and it's funny when I attended school I was always pretty good at test taking not the best but averaged about in the 80 percent range and it is aggravating but you stop taking standardized test and stop practicing guess you lose that skill plus I feel a lot more pressure and anxiety when taking this kind of have a lot riding on this for me
@@claris4799 Also it surprised me that out of all my practice scores Math was my highest one actually getting a 165 on it and everyone fears math the most and that was like with no studying because I feel like the practice ones are an evaluation on what your base line is
@@erikrodriguez5823 oh wow. That's nice. I am leaving math for the end because is not my forte, and yes, things had changed since I went to school. And for me it's been a long time.. I haven't passed the practice test on math 🤦♀️🤷♀️. But I am studying every day.
Are they looking at you through the camera?
Yes I had only 3 minutes left before the timer ran out and they thought they heard someone so they said can you adjust your camera you’re to close wasting all my time. I didn’t get a chance to finish
And sometimes they start the test late so they can just watch to see if they catch you talking to someone or see if your trying to cheat.. So they will have the camera on you for 20 minutes without releasing the test until they get ready but your official in the testing run so you can move or talk

No you cant! Its horrible! Its the best way for me too. I took two ged tests online this and u are being recorded by an online proctor the entire time, you can also see yourself on your computer screen. They will throw your test out if they see you moving your mouth! It was so hard for me.

I was going to have my little sister do it she’s super smart and she was going to do it till I found out this I’ve been out of school for yrs and forgot everything😭 and I got a great opportunity at another Job to make twice what I’m making but I need my ged test and I got till next month the 15 I’m fucked😭

If I am a united states citizen currently staying in Vietnam. Can I take the online GED test?
Unfortunately, it's the Vietnam part they care about, not the U.S. citizen part. I don't know if you can VPN your way around it, but I do know they want you to be physically in the U.S. to take the test. Sorry/good luck!

I have never heard of anything more ridiculous than having to do equations using whiteboard!!! Absolutely horrible, took me a few mins to solve a quadratic equation when i can do it in less than a min on an actual paper!!!!! This is crazy!!
