Hi Mark - Client has a travel agency business and wants to use tracking for each tour to ensure a profit is being made. Is tracking the bet option to use as client does up to 400 tours a year and I recall there are restrictions on amount of categories that can be used. What is the best option to use in Xero to cater for this business please? Really appreciate your comment
I am trying to decide between tracking categories and projects to see how different areas of our business are performing, so we can make proactive business decisions. We need to track a pretty large number of different options (home user, business customer, contract customer, computer repairs or new sales, phone repair viability, shop costs [to keep track that keeping a shopfront is still best] etc etc. Tracking categories makes sense, but is so limited in number, projects is unlimited but is it designed to work to track overall things like this? You did say you could make projects that are for different customers... Anyone have any experience in this kind of use?

Hmm. You could look into Xero Projects. Each tour could be a separate project.

Tracking categories would be better than projects for that purpose. But yes, it is limited in Xero.
Is there a maximum limit of project you can set up in Xero?
I'm pretty sure there is no maximum.
