Religion shouldn't be a barrier to marriage but when we look at it in a proper ways. It is a barrier. The best of it is to marry someone you both practice same religion or better still one must have to sacrifice by converting. It can either be the husband or the wife. If not, they will have problems while raising up their children. If husband practice Islam and wife practice Christianity. The wife might wish to take her kids to church for services while the husband might want also want to take the kids to mosque for asalatu. Now confusion looms whereby the kids doesn't know which one to do or believes. Secondly, it will also affect the marriage. Christianity have their own calendar while Islam also have their own calendar.. Time of worship is also different as well which may be a big clause and catastrophes in future.
