Hey Brother D! Hope your son was feeling better after that BackYard Que Medicine You gave him. 👍 I like Peach.......mild and smooth. 👍 That tenderloin is looking fine! Really need to start making that more often. If I can add to the Mesquite discussion..........I believe it is good when burned down to hot clean coals. 🔥 "Clean Burn" If it's smoldering and smoking............👎 To harsh for my taste. Oh......really like the maple. 👍 BTW......who adds the shorts after what you add. Some Wild Stuff there Bro! 🤣 Metal On! \🔥/
Sup brother! Lol he was legit sick but that didn't stop him from running around and wolfing down 2 PB&Js plus applesauce. To be four and slinder he can put some food away. I wish peach were easier to get where I am it is very smooth as you stated. Really complimentary. That mesquite on the other hand is definitely my least favorite even cleanly burned. If it is mixed into lump I'm good but straight up, I pass on that opportunity. The same could be said with any wood really, if you don't burn clean it will have a weird taste. Sucks to be me as I still have a full bag of it that I can't bring myself to use lol Got any cooks planned for this weekend? Dance comps start soon with my daughter so my me time on the grill will be cut short soon. Keep smoking bro!
I am a fan of most woods. The only one that I actively don't care for for the most part is mesquite. This one doesn't disappoint. It won't overpower what you are cooking so it is another that I like for lighter foods or longer cooks. I may try to do a feature vid on it soon. I was just throwing this one out as a mid week I'm bored type of thing lol
@@dsquebackyardbbq217 I hear ya. I also don’t like mesquite. My ex father in law would always cook with in down in tx. Can’t stand it now. Definitely like fruit woods with pork. They tend to be a little milder. Have a great day brother 👊🏻✌🏻
Like I said that loin is tender, color on point that bad boy looks like you injected it, you may have mentioned it already where did you find that bb wood chunks
Yes sir! Since I am a texture guy I like to add a bit of moisture to pieces of meat like this to keep them from drying as I cook to a higher temp. It may have been useful for me to add that to the vid smh. I take the marinade add some water and toss it in. Those chunks came from Ace actually. More reasonable than other places online for this sized bag. Their hardware and such is more expensive so the ceo must be a bbq fan lol
The ACE hardware stores in Dayton sucks but I’m out this weekend looking for some, no one in my house cares much for pork loin so may just slice them into chops but cook it whole then sear
@@bjsbackyardbuckeyebbq5820 that definitely sounds like a plan. Quick sear and you have boneless fatless chops anyway. Try ordering it online. They will ship for free if you order enough
