Yes, I mixed it straight from the channel one tapes as a exclusive mix for the new re-press for Linval. I'm mixing back some of the releases I'm doing for Thompson Sound as I have access to the original tracks and most of the times Linval do not have the original mix or it does not sound good (the file) or there's a lack of dub. I'm doing the mixes with a lot of attention to the original sound and trying to be respectful with the tubby's or channel one pieces of gear and with tons of love. We released a couple of Freddie McKay 12inches discos last year and the result was powerful ("Lonely Man" and "Guide Us Jah")... in fact the Lonely Man sounds wicked, better than my original copy!!. Then others like the 12inch disco with Earl 16's Trial and Crosses & Sammy Dread's Follow Fashion have the original mixes as they were clean and accesible, like Dawn & Christine's 7inch "Holy Mount Zion" (crucial).
