I’m so glad to see you back! Our first will, 1989, states our daughter gets 50% and our subsequent child, gets the other 50%. I was pregnant with Our 2nd child at the time. We still refer to Will as the subsequent child. Your tips are great and valid.
Thanks to your video, my husband and I have an appointment with an attorney for our First Estate planning. Now my question is that our first appointment will cost $200 is that normal? PS. We did fill out an initial questionnaire
Wish you had advice for UK people with joint bank accounts and overseas non uk resident non uk nationals joint bank account holders ..expand to europe too
Anybody have ideas what approach I should take as a single guy with respect to executor and other particulars? Have a younger sister but not entirely sure how well she would be able to handle all the matters. House is worth about a $1mil and a retirement account.
Well if you have good parents and they are still around, they could be good choices. Friends too, if it is a good enough and special enough relationship to be totally trustworthy. Maybe if you are very close to an aunt/uncle, or cousin as well. Other than that I can't really think of anything. FAIR WARNING though, I don't even know how I got here so...
@@ruusteriv Your executor should turn all the legal and challenging stuff to a professional probate lawyer. No need to turn your executor into a professional. Just be sure that person "bird dogs" or watches over the probate attorney as things progress. Checks and balances will keep your residual estate intact.

Don’t have to estate plan if you’re too poor to have an estate

Does your Executor still have to file your Will with probate court if you have a Trust?
Good question. Sorry no one has replied.
Thank you! This really helped. We are in the process of doing our estate planning right now. You make it easier to understand.
