The league leader in assists has to be there. Trae over both Cade and dame. Pistons are falling down in the standings and Cade is starting to be affected by injuries. Bucks have not been good enough to get two all stars. Melo may also miss because his team has gone way down in the standings and now he’s hurt. I know it said two weeks, but melo’s injuries have historically been nagging and kept him out long, especially during season where the hornets suck and end up tanking, which they very well may with the next draft class.
Trae was a hard cut but it was his efficiency that kept him off this list. He's shooting 33% from 3 and 39% from the field with 5 turnovers per game, it also doesn't help that he's a defensive liability. Honestly I wanted to put Jalen Johnson if I was going to include a hawk but I feel like early in the season the players I included are outperforming him and Trae. Cade has only missed 4 games and you can see the impact he's usually the only reason the piston are in games. Sometimes record don't matter when making the all star team either like with AD and Lebron making it when the lakers are play in teams. I wouldn't have included dame before but the bucks are 8-1 in there last 9 and he's played amazing since injury. And with the hornets personally I don't think they'll tank, with a new head coach and players like lamelo, brandon miller, and nick richards stepping up they can make a run in a weak eastern conference, they're also expecting mark williams soon.
giannis has been a beast!!
He deserves more credit for what he's doing right now
