Normally I had to watch atleast 2-3 videos to be able get a better understanding of a guitar. But for this guitar this video was all I need. Thanks for this simple and high quality video.
Good revue I bought one and took time out to set it up dropped the action a tad and actually find I pick this guitar up a lot at home, even with a Martin and a Korean Sigma for it to compete with.
I bought this acoustic and the setup is just fine for me. Although I'm a bassist and have a pretty high action on my basses so maybe I'm just used to ludicrous action.
Nice review. I have this except mine has Rosewood fret board and bridge. The wood is listed as Mahogany. I don't believe it's laminate? The tone on this thing is magical, deep and brooding with steel string brightness. The TP-4T electronics are a bit glitchy. I have to press the button to turn off the tuner several times and adjusting the EQ creates amp noise :( So besides the electronics that I failed to complain about, this is an amazing guitar. • Manufacturer Part Number:TAKGY11MENS
I own a Seagull S6 and played a couple of these small Taks yesterday. They are very different guitars - you'll get a richer, warmer sound from the Seagull with its solid cedar top and dreadnought body shape, but the Tak holds its own as a smaller guitar. I did think that, for the money, the Tak was superior to a comparable Ibanez AVN-9-OPN that I also tried.
Funny you say that. I got one of these because of Hozier's own beautiful sounding P3NY Takamine (the only comparable thing to this guitar really is the new yorker body shape and slotted headstock, considering his guitar has a cedar top and sapelle sides. I've learned pretty much Hozier's entire catalogue and they do sound pretty good especially the bluesy one such as "To Be Alone". "Like Real People Do" also works well on this. The complaint I have is that it is laminated mahogany, the bass notes of this guitar are pretty thin, but if you plug it in you can adjust the bass with the electronics that it has and it gives a decent sound.
@@Corbs_ I made a demo video on my channel to show what the guitar sounds like when playing Hozier songs (can't post the link). PS if you don't mind the size I recommend the Takamine GN-20 instead, it has a solid cedar top like the P3NY.

Hi Wayne, many thanks for sharing your experience and for watching. Very best wishes, AR
Man your reviews are great, you are playing the same song for all guitars so that it is easy to compare👍
Thank you, very helpful
What songs did you played for the audio test of the guitar? I would love to try them upon buying my own guitar. Thanks and much appreciated.
Great review, great sounding little guitar, I bet with your skill, any guitar would sound good

@@dogwood178 awesome! So would you recommend the gutair? And do you think "cherry wine" and "shrike" or "would that I" sound good on it?
