A lot of brands still use sweatshops, but people seem to think SHEIN is the worst and only one. Nike, Zara, H&M, ASOS, Adidas, Victoria’s Secret, and many more. But because people choose to by from SHEIN, they get people looooosing it on them. I do not condone what SHEIN does, but people need to realize it isn’t the only brand that does these awful things.
They are one of the worst offenders by a significant degree, solely on the number of products they put out a week. According to the BBC there are as many as 600,000 items on the site at any given time... Let's say 1% doesn't sell well and each clothing run has 500 pieces. That is 3000000 pieces of garbage alone!!! I don't like H&M or Zara either but just lumping Shein into the pile of awful companies feels like lumping together a shoplifter and war criminal.
Y’all are talking about how shein hires children as their workers and are saying to buy from other companies but did you realize most companies you all buy from are from china and communist countries where they underpay their workers who are children for example Nike, Aeropostale, Adidas, Forever 21, Gap, H&M etc so boycotting shein and buying from less affordable brands that also support child labor isn’t going to help
I just want to inform you that shein child labors. And only pays 12 cents a day, and most of the time they don’t even get that if they misbehave or mess around. So please try to support other businesses. Edit: y’all i wasn’t trying to cause a war just simply trying to inform u on what they do

People out here like “Don’t buy from Shein! They have slave labor! 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺”, but those same people don’t bat an eye when M&M’s uses child cocoa labor in Africa or when literally any other Chinese company uses slave labor because like every single Chinese company in existence has its fair share of slave labor due to slave labor being allowed in China and even though I’m against slavery I’m nothing against a whole freaking COUNTRY.
Shein is just kinda the worst of the worst but I do agree! Shein also has really unsustainable clothing so fast fashion is significantly effected by it.
Just because other businesses do it doesn’t mean that we should be OK with just one doing it if they say boycott shein, then boycott shein and all these other places that do the same thing
Can yall stop acting like you're only shopping from sustainable brands? I can only afford fast fashion, and even if could afford designer clothes, i wouldnt pay 60 euros for a hoodie...I shop from Shein from time to time, but I use their clothes for as long as I can, and I dont buy clothes for 600$ every week. I think if you use the clothes you buy until they last, that's not unsustainable at all. Plus the main reason I shop from Shein, is because in my country, clothes in that particular style I like are really hard to obtain, and even if I find a shop which sells those kind of clothes, the cheapest dress is at least 100$...
@@rory541why should someone’s used clothes be a persons only option if they’re on a budget? I’m not buying used clothes especially when at goodwill they’re almost retail price. I’ll shop at whatever store I want 😂until American made is the same price.
Y’all do know that Walmart also does this right? Fast fashion or not, many high fashion companies do this. Not only the clothing industry, also makeup franchises. It’s sad people are just now realizing this.
But shein is especially bad, and their manufacture breaks a lot of safety rules in terms of their fabric. They use toxic dyes, ethanol, dozens of chemicals, the fabric is literally made of the same thing as a garage bag. So, for young people, it can even cause harm. Like god, you guys agree to wear that thrash on your skin… every day 🤢, other brands (like H&M, Zara etc.) at least have cotton or polyester. And that’s the problem with this company.
@@jetsvrrrooommm5383I’ll name reasons why… -Not good quality. -To cheap to be true. -They do more child labour by 4x the amount other companies do. -Steals small business ideas. -Steals credit cards. -Used products.
Shein is so messed up, they steal companies designs then pay their workers $0.4 per piece and make them work 18 hours a day. The workers only get 1 day off every month and if they make one small mistake then 2/3 of their paycheck gets taken from them. Plz stop supporting shein.
@@pippinthehedgehogs shein is a big company tho. The other ones are more likely to fail, it’s better to destroy shein since they are more known and have more employees
This is „normal” in china Most women don't get opportunities to develop so they work in the field, seamstresses or prostitution to earn money for son’s future house etc. (Daughter need to do something with life on her own) And that 1 day off every month is commonly used in all types of jobs But when they more work, they can gain more days off
Surely you could save some of your money and shop ethically from other brands instead of buying low quality products that are stolen from other designers..

That's a good comment! I like that one, because you can't do more than just tell that it isn't the best idea to buy from it. Some of them will never listen. The only thing is, to tell that it isn't that, what it looks like
there’s so many other stores which use child labour: adidas, nike, h and m but people don’t care about that. those stores could also be paying very little prices to their workers. shein gets a bad rep because they don’t have the middle man, and thus their clothes are cheaper as part of their model. also there are people that aren’t as fortunate as you and we shouldn’t shame them for that. like if shein is the only thing u can afford that’s fine.
EXACTLY! All Chinese brands more than likely have their fair share of slave labor due to slave labor being acceptable in China, boycotting ONE Chinese brand isn’t going to make China apologize and stop using slave labor after they’ve been using it for YEARS. Some people just need to think critically about these things.
they are literally killing kids to look cute. Not many companies get worse then shein. Thats why shein is the hot topic right now. Because they are significantly worse then other brands.

In addition to that the children don’t actually see much of this money if any.
What sucks is how cheap and affordable this place is compared to anywhere else, like I would definitely stop shopping at SHEIN if they just had other places that are cheaper

Yeah😭😢
Can yall stop acting like you're only shopping from sustainable brands? I can only afford fast fashion, and even if could afford designer clothes, i wouldnt pay 60 euros for a hoodie...I shop from Shein from time to time, but I use their clothes for as long as I can, and I dont buy clothes for 600$ every week. I think if you use the clothes you buy until they last, that's not unsustainable at all.
Plus the main reason I shop from Shein, is because in my country, clothes in that particular style I like are really hard to obtain, and even if I find a shop which sells those kind of clothes, the cheapest dress is at least 100$...
try thrifting

Y’all do know that Walmart also does this right? Fast fashion or not, many high fashion companies do this. Not only the clothing industry, also makeup franchises. It’s sad people are just now realizing this.
But shein is especially bad, and their manufacture breaks a lot of safety rules in terms of their fabric. Yall hating on SHEIN bc of child labor but everything in this world basically runs child labor. Some examples, Apple, Amazon H&M, L'Oréal, maybeline, garnier, urban decay, Zara, nesquick. (To many to put down) brands that uses sweatshops (a workplace that's crowded poor and usually has children working there), macys, Marshall's, NBC, Kohl's, butlington Walmart, JCPenney, Tommy Hilfiger, Nordstrom, Calvin Klein, and so many more. Since yall wanna boycott SHEIN why don't yall boycott all of these.
GURL STOP YOU ARE DROP DEAD GORGEOUS ❤
The children did a Great Shop
it all looks really pretty on you
I bet the kids making the clothes are having so much fun.
okay I really appreciate how everyone in the comments are defending child labour and I am with you but it isn't only shien also Amazon, temu and a bunch more
Hey! I don’t think you meant to use the word defending, defending child Labour would be saying it’s ok. Maybe a better word would be along the lines of fighting? Not trying to be mean or anything I just want to make sure your message comes across the right way!!
Guys plss tell me is it good quality? Is it worth it??
The kids at shein are prolly crying right now but she doesn’t care guys, everyone knows about the slavery, she just chooses to go on with it for her own satisfactory clothing choices..
thos sweaters or so cute what size did you order them in?
Dam all u shop on is shein on amozon :) ur so pretty
fr. Not only is she supporting the worst brands on the planet, she's promoting them too. There are literally no upsides to these companies, all they do is pollute, exploit & endanger, there's no excuse for what she's doing.
@@Sara-vs8bh relax maybe she doesn’t know plus she can do whatever she wants it’s her money
@@ur.mom12 we’re not saying she can’t, just trying to educate her on the fact that shein is an evil company
@@Sara-vs8bh we’re broke honey relax
@@Sara-vs8bh girl shut up not only shein is like that practically almost every single company is like that, u try to look like an angel so hard on the internet yet buy stuff from h&m and forever21 which damn well use child labor as well
Omg your so pretty and everything looks so good!!!!💜💜

After I've saw many bad reviews about SHEIN I deleted it's app off my phone screen lol
wth how are u so pretty! 😝
your so pretty ❤
As a tall person that is proportioned to be in the plus size ranges I can only buy dowdy mumsy type clothing. Shein has opened up such possibilities for me and for once I'm excited about being able to be fashionable. I'm happy to pay higher prices if it means their workers will benefit/
why is she perfect tho💗
Guys I know about the Shein drama and how it’s not ethical but I just want to address that there are people who can’t afford to buy clothes from nicer brands and the stuff at thrift stores is all picked over and sometimes just flat out weird but I do not agree with the ways of Shein and the child labor but it’s the only choice for some people ( this comment was not made to offend anybody no matter if you do or do not buy from Shein )
