Wow. The way you're able to remove all the parts so quickly, without even taking note of what goes where, just shows how familiar you are with this equipment. Very impressive!
I agree with Ben. I always find it extremely impressive how you can fix and operate inside if the keys. I would be so nervous. Great breakdown and information for all to use 🤗❤️💯💥
Yes. If something hapen normaly just dirty rubber or broken rubber contact... The difficult part if the screen go bad... But you can still replace the screen. Yamaha sell parts for repair on amazon or ebay.
Great walk-through on fixing this keyboard, Mark. Certainly that wasn't one of your old keyboards, was it? Good to see that you had an assistant to help you there too!!
Yes. This keyboard is not mine.. But 10 years ago this keyboard is from my piano teacher wich i used to play before selling this ti his church mate... While watching my old video on youtube i accidentaly capture this on my old video intitled got to belive in magic and ill be over you toto its beside on my friendy digital piano..
Hi there, i have the same MM6, but keys freeze, i mean some keys keep sounding when i release them , also the right hand accompaniment doesn't work properly, suddently stop working or just restart the keyboard, , what can be the problem, maybe is time to buy another one he he.
Hello Sir Mark, my yamaha keyboard has the same problem (key of D and Ab is not always sounding or is not sounding totally when pressed). I did the same steps as what you did in the video. (Disconnected and connected the wires from the main board) (Cleaned everything inside and out) but the problem still persist. What step should I do next? It was working perfectly fine then the next week and it had the no sound problem in the D and Ab. We can't use it in our church mass.
My suggestion is to check the contact ruber if damaged and the contact board.... If rubber damage you may buy online or find parts on second hand store or Yamaha service center.... If All D And Ab... Check the flex wire for damages somtimes the wire is broken..
@@MarkSomosoMusic thank you. Actually I tested the continuity of all the flex wire using a tester and all the wires were okay. Also when pressing all the D and Ab "sometimes" they will make the popping loud sound (like when there is a problem on the velocity) still it is not working properly.
Same happened to me checked all wire clean, and dust every single thing still no luck. One of friend was joking with me told me heat it up with hair dryer and guess what it works like a sharp for an hour but when it's cool down stop again, so I'm keeping the hair dryer next to keyboard when I wanna play i heat it up from the back in the middle area like behind the screen
I have a question I have an mm6 and the screen doesn’t turn on if I bang it a little bit it flashes like it wants to turn on but it doesn’t, how can I fix this?
Hello, I have a yamaha a1000 keyboard and I opened the device to clean it. After closing it, I realized that the keyboard works perfectly, but only the keys have no sound. I checked the cables, everything was in place, but no sound comes from the keys. Can you please guide me how to solve the problem, thank you
Sir sa keyboard ko some keys are not working nung inopen ko wala na yung carbon nung ibang keys. Ask ko po if ma ffix pa yun ng conductive pen? ttrace nalang ulit I bought from lazada. Sana masagot salamat po.
Cleaned and wiped every single wire still no luck, A key and C on every octave not working, heat it up with hair dryer works for an hour and stops and i have to warm it up again, My question is why is the heat makes it work fine when it's normal temperature don't????
Thanks again man👍👍👍 I reassemble the green motherboard the one with the screen on it, spray the hole can of computer air dust cleaner until become freeze from the can gas waited two minutes after drying put everything back and BOOM work like a charm Maybe small dust stuck between one of the tiny ACs was the problem but THANKS again man I was gonna throw it away until I watch your video it gives me hope and I did it 🫶

Thanks for the video. You verified what I thought, that this uses plastic "trees" for the keys.
I have a Yamaha mm6 as well, I use it everyday, and I’m scared that something is going to happen to it, so this video does come helpful

yeh. clean first... if the problem persist try switching the contact ruber..and check the mk circuit board for water damage
Very helpful, but if i do it myself i'm afraid that I can't fix it back.😮
