@@DauragonC.Mikado you don't use expensive wines for cooking, you can get the cheapest wine wine and in cooking you wouldn't tell the difference to an expensive bottle.
@@DauragonC.Mikado i think the price of wine (as well as other stuff) depends a lot on where you live. Where i live a small bottle of white wine is a lot cheaper than any sausage, you can get it for under 2$ and dont even have to use all of it. Also if your looking for a replacement: a splash of vinegar will almost add the same flavour to a cooked dish.

Gordon, these are my kind of recipes. Very flavorful, simple and doable. For three of these I have the ingredients handy right now in my cupboard and fridge. Thanks.
I always have sausage / onions / garlic and it is so simple! Cucina povera or the poor kitchen is absolutely my fav food! I cook every day with the best and freshest ingredients I can find. I am in Texas for the winter so there is amazing sausage, kielbasa, and boudain! Happy cooking!
I just made the spicy sausage rice tonight. That recipe is a keeper, although it was very heavy since the fat from the sausage was fully retained. I personally would have browned the sausage first and drained some of the fat as desired. Then the onions can be sauteed in the remaining fat without making the dish heavy.
MY VERSION for Gordon's recipes - For Diabetics replace Rice with QUINOA, and if you also have Kidney CKD issues use 2 TBSP of bacon grease for meaty flavor and use small amount of chicken turkey sausages & Chop up broccoli & cabbage tips to add the 'meat' chunk texture to soups casseroles or if MUST use tiny amounts of pork beef sausage. Also there is veg based noodles to replace all flour/egg noodles again for Diabetics & glucose/gluten low diets.
I agree with your spicy sausage rice pan. I prefer chorizo and chicken and than ad the rice and a bouillon and let it sit on a small fire. You can use champignons, paprika etc to give it the taste you want. Great and cheap and so nice and full of flavor. Thx for this video.
I love to watch this😊 Here in the South we do a similar crumble for a sweet potato casserole : 1c brown sugar,1c pecans chopped, 1/2 c flour and 1/2 c melted butter…it’s baked in the oven.
Basically jamabalaya, nachos, latkes, falafals. We eat so much rice I like to use sausage, peppers, onions, bowties or other short pasta with body ,good canned tomatoes and season with whatever you like.Nice winter fill-you-up.Also the texture of real latkes is more attractive, Cuban Black Bean soup is more substantial and I just don't like falafals. Also think I would rather have Apple Cobbler, not so dry looking. But I would try any of these for sure.
What kind of soup or dish you would use when someone comes down with a cold or the flu? It would be wonderful if you could make a video on it! (If you haven’t done so already! 😅) I’m sure a homemade bone and veggie broth would be a good base to start with, soup-wise. 🤔
I do not like the Hell’s Kitchen GR who swears and is gnarly … for effect. The GR I enjoy watching is the man who is so enthusiastic about what he is sharing with us that he always appears to be about to sprint out of the kitchen, shifting from foot to foot. All of that energy! I also love watching him cook with his kids. The one scene I remember most fondly is the time he was teaching one of his daughters how to chop onions. He was so worried that she would cut her fingers, he was hovering over her in intense dad anxiety … but he let her do it. All of his kitchen moves are swift, sure and economical. No wasted movements. Each dish is pleasing to the eye presentation-wise. Just sayin’!
This looks pretty good. But don't be fooled that is not regular sausage. Gordon Ramsay's landscaper catches and kills muskrat on Gourdon's property and grinds them into it paste which is thing used with some other ingredients and spices to create the sausage you see in the video. That is ground muskrat sausage from Gourdon's yard. It's $96 at his restaurant.
If spicy sausage is not available, regular sausage will do, we can control spiciness by adding the right amount of chili powder to taste, I don't like too spicy food.😅
Looks delish. I wish I had the talent to cook. I cook all the same things I grew up with, very limited foods. So I am always looking for something new I can't kill. Amazon car hop trays.

I love you GR! Happy birthday ☺️ Thank you for your kindness, humor, knowledge and wisdom. You inspired me to cook even more at home-I love food! 💖 My baby’s due date is today, but it looks like he won’t be coming out unless he does so in less than four hours, but I doubt it now he’s too comfy. 😢😂
Could you make some videos on restaurant methods that are better than homemade but don't work at home? We see a lot of the opposite on the Internet but I'm curious to learn more about the reverse of the coin. For instance how it's much cheaper to make some meals when you can cook bulk ingredients, or worth it to prepare batters and doughs. Anything else like that? Udon noodles come to mind lol. But what more relative to your experience?
I love how he considers not only the flavor but also what's important for a lot of us which is practicality, how filling and cheap it is.
Ramsey grew up in a large family that was poor so his mother had to make ends meet.
i love how he poured that "tablespoon" for like 10 seconds
Oh yeah, so cheap he used white wine for the first meal 🙄

I love when chefs say a tablespoon of oil and its clearly more than that.

especially with butter when making an omlette
That sausage rice dish is going on my menu. 😋
Thanks chef going to give the spicy (vegan) sausage a go tonight
Hi Gordon that first dish you made looks absolutely amazing I would like to know where I can get the Italian spicy sausage from please 👍
Try a grocery store maybe
Or a butcher, anywhere that sells sausages would likely have something similar/suitable.
Great dishes! I try to make them!
Thank you xoxo. Love your recipes.
Muito muito bom... deliciouse.
Wow Looks so yummy 😋 thank you for the Recipe ! Gordon Ramsay!! Big fan to All recipe Gordon 👍👍😋👀yummy yummy😋😋😋
I've always removed skin from the sausage. Great recipe. Thanks, Chef!

Yum... what can I use instead of wine 🤗
I've learnt so much haha and damn that man can cook love it!!
Hi, please can you recommend a substitute for the wine.
0:42 tablespoon of olive oil - proceeds to dump at least 4 tbsp lmao
0:43 table spoon of olive oil, a table spoon only
"table spoon only" proceeds to dump an oilspill.
For the spicy sausage, what kind of rice does he use and I assume its already cooked?
*pouring olive oil* " A tablespoon only " *proceeds to put in like 2 cups*
Is there a link to the recipes so we can get an ingredient list?
Eu assisto a sua série "Sabores Extremos" e sou seu fã! Desde Brasil!
Anybody know what pan that is that he uses for the spicy sausage dish?
For the spicy sausage rice, does someone know what stock is recommended to use here?
Chicken or vegetable would be a good background flavour, beef or pork could also work depending on the meat being used.
I'd probably go with the standard chicken stock
Spicy italian sausage. As an Italian, I approve!! Thanks for the marvelous content.
