If you wanna do more Dave you must react to Black perfomed at the brits, and it must be the live performance at the brits, as it is a bit different to normal song. Its the most beautiful performance. Also love you videos! Greetings from Denmark
Totally agree Christian, I think I’ve requested this one before too - one of the most moving performances I’ve ever seen! Dave is amazing regardless, but that ‘Black’ performance was just best level!!!
@@ReactionTherapyOfficial Black live is amazing, another one which I'd recommend which I haven't seen much, 'My 19th Birthday' as its quite an emotional song
Top 3 Dave Songs you should react to (in order): 1. Heart Attack 2. Black (Live at the Brits) 3. Panic Attack (Live) imo, Heart Attack is the best rap song released in 5-10 years.
@@ARJJ02 It’s too soft with no emotion, he had to bleep out the swearing. It wasn’t bad but in my opinion the live one isn’t as good, I used to listen to the OG version before the live came out that’s maybe why
@@NorahCIIV yeah I think for first time hearing, the live version is better, but yh I can understand why OG is better, also he slipped up one bar in the live version but it makes it feel more authentic
one of his craziest bars go "now youre cutting through bricks like the 118" this is such a crazy bar because he is referring to cutting through cocaine bricks but there is also a borough in london called brixton where the bus number 118 goes through. that bus also crashed into a brick wall so the 118 literally cut through bricks. It is such an amazing bar and anything you pick up on is probably intentional because this man is a genius!
Some Dave songs will leave you pausing every few seconds because he is arguably one of the best lyricists in the world. HANDS DOWN. Panic Attack is one of my favorites.
I think Dave has some really thought provoking songs. Id recommend Environment, and Black as two songs that really showcase his ability to tell stories and write. Hope to see you reacting to those as I think you'd really like them!
Yeah people need to request more of these songs, he will understand them better. This song wasn’t suited for him to react to at all in my opinion lol. The slang was pretty strong.
Love your videos!!! :) Please react more of Dave. Really think you'll love his songs "Lesley" and "Black" (the live performance at the brits), the lyrics are very very very very powerful and important to reflect about. Also the way he storytells with those lyrics is just amazing, it involves you so much in what he's singing
Great catch finding the menu line you got it spot on. He also did one earlier in the song when he said “ I don’t wanna you and I ( U N I) like I’m in Leicester skipping my lectures” (Leicester university)
I’m only new to your channel but the Dave videos dragged me in. Dave is my favourite artist and he really is worth listening to. His lyrics are deep along with an ingenious flow that links all of his word play together. He’s one of those artists that you can listen to any song out of his discography and feel like you learnt something about him, the culture, or yourself. Keep it up and definitely give his live performance of black a listen to. Absolutely breathtaking. Thanks for the content. You’ve earned a subscriber for sure. Peace from Ireland.
@@ReactionTherapyOfficial 100% his use of slang is hard to get used to if you don’t get the lingo. Just to answer your question in the video. Peng basically translates to beautiful/great/tasty(food)/many other positive adjective. Ting basically means thing or girl or many other things depending on the context. So Peng ting is a beautiful girl. Also mandem is your homies/friends. Hope that helps man 👍 any other words you’re lost on feel free to ask. Thanks for the content

I’ve seen some other comments but I would recommend Black by Dave as well. Do the live version at the Brits, he adds an extra verse to the end that isn’t on the original version!
Peng tings are hot girls. Testers are narcotic samples. You and I (uni) university. Yes he is also referring to menu The Dave tracks to check out are Lesley, environment, heart attack, we are all alone in this together

Your reactions always give so much depth and meaning to things which I at first thought insignificant. You bring to light factors in music which although relatable, tend to be unspoken and your advice have helped me understand why I relate and what the core of the problem might be. It gives me the opportunity to do inner analysis, but with a better and deeper understanding. I understand that it is not a substitute for seeking professional help, but it does help none the less. I know it is selfish to request, but would it be possible to take a look at the band, Badflower. This song is still apart of the therapy session and although it sounds like a lot of flexing and talking his shit, hes describing his life from where he's from to the therapist

Streatham is a part of South London, it’s where I live 😁 it’s got a bit of an edge to it in my opinion, in the 90s and early 00s when Dave was growing up it was pretty rough, now it’s more of an ‘up and coming’ and has become a lot more gentrified, like a lot of parts of London though, you have the rougher neighbourhoods that are only five minutes away from the million pound houses
