Especially Poland, they finally caught a break within the last 32 years after almost a hundred years of getting screwed over and attacked by pretty much everyone
Relative to their size, I think Poland, Czechia, the Baltics, and Romania (and possibly Slovakia but I haven't heard much about their role) have made some of the biggest contributions to Ukraine's war effort, especially when you factor in things like non-defense related economics, logistics, training, and volunteer forces. What countries like the U.S., U.K., and Germany have been willing to do is nothing to scoff at, but this has become a fight between Russia and it's former satellites.

If it was allowed to be sold, all it would take is 1 corrupt official, in another country or even here, to give such power to the wrong people and then you've supplied the enemy with equal technology, which is not a great move strategically, as you can imagine.
@@thekamotodragonif the F-22 is our best fighter jet then why are we retiring it rather than the 35. The 22 is an excellent aircraft, but it can't communicate with any other aircraft without modification lest I be miss informed, and tried to be both a bomber and fighter making it great at both but not nearly as honed for it as an F-35 at dog fights and a B-2 for stealth bombimg
@@eonmusic00001 i think you may have gotten some stuff confused there, but that's ok. The f-22 is THE dogfighting aircraft, as i said it's the best aIr to air fighter in the world and as far as i know, that's always been its main role. Now it can do swift air to ground stuff, but that's really secondary to what it was made for, which is stealth air domination. The f-35 is the one that's multi-role and was made to be everything at once, but didn't do anything particularly well, but is still a gen 5 fighter. Pretty certain that's why the US sold the 35 and kept the 22, is because they somewhat viewed the 35 program as a 'failure" or maybe failure isn't the right word, but more like not as focused as the 22 and they thought the 22 would provide more success for the airforce than the 35. Which ended up being proven incorrect, but that's only because worldwide, stealth bombers became much more useful since these planes came out vs dogfight winners have become virtually useless in modern combat, as dogfights are very rare now. The f-22 has never been really tested in real combat unfortunately to know any of this stuff for certain though, but the simulations show it would have a crazy k:d ratio, esp against gen 4 fighters.

26 x M1A2SEP v2 (used from US Army for training crews)

32 x F35A (wanted to buy more but as for now no free slots on production lines, the same goes for F16V Block 70 - that's why Poland decided to buy South Korean F/A-50 )
8 x Patriot Batteries with PAC-3MSE, LTAMDS Radar nad IBCS
Also there are "whispers" in Polish Military media close to Polish MoD about Blackhawks (Poland already uses small amount of S-70i's), Ch-47 Chinooks, Also some MRTT aircraft (like KC46) and some AEW&C aircrafts (for now Poland decided to buy stopgap from Sweden in form of Saab 340 Erieye)

Being a bit of a history buff, there is a deep sense of ironic amusement from the idea of the former Eastern Bloc powers each becoming strong enough to hold off a Russian invasion, single handed. And, in fact, are arming up to do EXACTLY that.
Not only am I aware of what Poland has been up to, I've been cheering it on.

Nah dawg, the f-22 is the best fighter on earth for air to air combat. Giving that up is like giving away our ace in the hole. Shouldn't leave America for any reason.
