- We arrived at PAPPARICH Citta Mall late. They closed. But we got the cook to do Nasi Goreng Kampung. Adam has no idea what was in the takeaway till he got home. Immediately he wanted to go out again. We tried to explained but in vain. He went into a mega tantrum. Luckily we manage to find a Papparich at the strand that opened till 11:30pm. This was a very exceptional case. Normally he would comply. But I guessed he was too hungry and had set his mind on the Ayam Masak Merah from earlier on. Having Autism and the inability to verbalise his feelings and emotions complicated things more.
Thank you PAPPARICH for your kindness to adam.

Bersabar dan beri dia perhatian.Dia anak syurga. Saya juga ada ank seperti Adam. Kita yang ada anak seperti ini perlukan kesabaran, ketabahan. Kita sendiri pun ada kalanya rasa down, letih sangat2 tetapi walau bagaimana pun keadaan dia, dia adalah anugerah yang Allah kurniakan yang kita tak tahu ganjaranya nanti di akhirat kelak.

I also have a relative with autism and all I can say is, I salute the family specially the father who have been there for his child because it takes a lot of patience dealing with autism.

Part of the tantrum issue might be because he gets whatever he wants when he throws them. He seems to know this because when given what he wants he calms right down.

God bless this family who's so supportive of their child with special needs. Me too is a parent of a child with autism though he is functional but there are times that he's really sensitive when it comes to sounds. Every time when we are in public places we make sure he's with his earphone and listening to his favourite music. It's a struggle for every parent, some may not understand their behavior but I hope everyone will be educated enough to accept and learn how to Deal with children with special needs.

Can he not get ABA therapy in their country? Adam is running that household. He is so smart. He has them wrapped around his finger. It would be a sandwich that time of night or he would eat in the morning. Give him a choice. Don’t give in. Things will get better.

Saya punya tetangga punya anak autism.. Waktu umur belasan sering tantrum kayak adam malah suku mukul diri sendiri terus diikutin terapi rutin entah diikutin apalagi sy jg kurang paham tp sekarang umur 25 an uda kayak orang normal g ngamuk2 lg paling kalo ngobrol lama baru tau dy punya autism.. Semoga adam jg membaik kondisinya

...i truly respect your full effort in taking care of adam..but there has got some other way to pacify his tantrums..my niece was in a similar situation but he has mellowed...please find a way so that you could also help adam out...there is a different way...you are always around him and being that way he gets his way with the only way he knows...tantrums!...

First, I love Adam and your family. Secondly, Adam is growing up as well as you are getting older. He is strong and healthy physically as well. He will eventually one day need to move into a host home with another family or a group home. You can't expect your daughters to take care of him because they deserve a life of their own. That being said, i don't believe that giving in to his tantrums is not helping him for his future. I believe this has been allowed his entire life to avoid a scene. Sometimes no means no. You may have to start preparing him for his future because you can't expect his providers to be like you and up and taking him back out to indulge his tantrum. You are rewarding bad behavior and it is only going to get worse as he has already hurt you and made you bleed. This should have been done a long time ago when he was young. Seek out others for their advice on how to best teach Adam or medical experts. I have worked with people like Adam for 32 years and just want to let you know that i admire your entire family for all the love and patience you have for Adam.
Yolanda Duran I understand your comment an I agree with it to a certain extent. I am a parent of a special needs adult son, you do have to set standards and boundaries with them to let them know that you are the parent but some things they don’t understand that can cause a tantrum. I have spoiled my son but he knows he can’t always have his way.
@@amotherslove75 i know but i have been watching this beautiful family for awhile. I have not seen any consequences or them ever saying no. Eventually he will have to leave them to live with someone else and they are setting him up to fail by continuing to indulge everything like his middle of the night walks. It's great to spoil your child as well but too much and it does them no good. We had customers that would have to move constantly from host home to host home because of their behavior and i do not wish for this to happen to Adam. In Colorado USA Our customers live in homes with families. I'm not sure how this works in Adam's country. I just want what's best for Adam. I think he understands a lot more than he is given credit for. He knows that having a tantrum works. The other day they took him to store. They told him they need to pay. He kept pulling on Daniel. They eventually realized he was trying to take them to the cashier, so he understands a lot. I was just giving a suggestion. Please know that i am not trying to be critical because i know they do everything out of love just as you do with your child. It's sometimes easier from the outside looking in and i applaud all families with loved ones with special needs because you have a tough job. God Bless all of you.
Yolanda Duran I know you were just trying to help to prepare them for the future. Once I learned my son knew right from wrong and he understood more than I thought he knew I started setting boundaries for him. I like to go and wanted him to be able to go and I don’t have any problems with him having tantrums. I think we over love them because they are our babies.

My oldest brother is severely autistic, non-verbal.
We had to experience, how he beat up our parents, and he.didn't spare us either.
He's now living in a group home, but still has massive problems with his outbursts of anger.
Orang tua di uji kesabaran melalui anaknya .. bila Allah .. menitipkan anak kpda orang tua dgan dilahirkan sbagai anak yg autism.. krna Allah tau bahwasanya mereka adlah orng tua yg sabar yg kuat

Kudos to Adam's family for being soooo patient with him everytime. It's definitely not easy n I sincerely wish them more of God's blessings.
You have an amazing family. It really does take a village to help raise a child. My son is 21. Has high functioning autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and anxiety. He looks "Normal". He seems like any other 21 year old but his thought process is still a few years behind so I have to explain some things because he thinks everything is easy and often does not understand the severity of consequences. He cannot hold a consistent job. He wants immediate gratification and cannot wait, doesn't want to wait. It is so hard. God bless you all.

Adam is truly blessed to have the family that gives him unconditional love. From his dad and his mom who I know will never give up on him. Bust most esp to the 2 sisters whose genuine understanding of their brother's case is so deep . Even the youngest being brave and so full of understanding at such early age. Their parents really raised them well by being the best example. And to the other family members that are equally so full of love. And even Daniel who is very supportive to the family. Adam needs love to be understood. Though the outside world may be harsh at times, there will be good people around still so just keep on fighting.
