I guess I’ll play along… Can you please provide a scripture reference for why you think this? Also, please tell me the difference between a baby having a bottle or a elderly person eating mints during service than giving a child a snack while they endure a 1.5 hour service that they aren’t yet able to comprehend. Should the parent who hasn’t ever attended a service before leave their kids in a nursery or kids service even though the kid and/or parent may not feel comfortable yet just to appease people who believe it’s wrong when there is literally no reason not to? Is it wrong for churches who have no fellowship area to break down their chairs, put up tables in their sanctuary to have a potluck? The most traditional church I know even does that. I get that everyone has preferences…but that doesn’t mean it’s wrong or against scripture. You certainly wouldn’t like my 6 donuts and Dr Pepper on Sunday mornings while I’m in the sound booth for 4 hours straight. I’m sorry but I truly believe there’s literally no basis for that thought process. Good luck to you.
Thanks! Simple yet great ideas. Much appreciated!
Glad it was helpful!
So encouraging to see how much you've thought through these things!
Thank you for the kind words. I’m trying! Have a great week.
Should not be eating in the church sanctuary and certainly not teaching kids to do so.
