    Since recording this, I have taken this bike to multiple skateparks, pump tracks, jumped foam pits and airbags and this bike is solid! More dedicated videos will be coming out soon from Rays indoor bike park and showing some tricks i was practicing in the foam pit as well as our air bag jam session...

      Thanks! This was filmed a few months ago. Got more content coming out - jam session on airbag and rays indoor bike park with the dirt jumper. Finally, getting back into the groove of editing now that we are situated in our new home.

      Thanks! It’s actually pretty quiet. Not loud like the hydra hubs.

    How high does the seat go? I wonder how well it would do for riding to and from trails and jumps that are a bit further away

    • @MTBTrailRider
      @MTBTrailRider 9 місяців тому

      It can go up decently high… I cut the seat tube shorter to remove the extra weight. You’ll want to replace the seat collar with a quick release collar to make adjusting the seat up and down easier.

    I AM GETTING THIS BIKE😍 but one thing how tall are you bro? because I am very tall at 6'2 so i'm having a hard time finding a good size DJ but this one... its the one! I love the look, the weight, the frame shape and it can take a good beating too. If you reply ill be very happy thanks mate, keep shredding!

    • @MTBTrailRider
      @MTBTrailRider Рік тому +1

      Awesome! I am just shy of 6' tall. I've really enjoyed the bike. Pumped the fork up a little higher than normal and put on higher rise handlebars - it's great! Because of the horizontal dropouts you can also adjust your wheelbase. But you'll likely need to refit a chain on there if you extend/shorten the wheelbase.
      I also removed the front brake assembly to reduce weight and because I'm not doing anything that needs the extra braking power with a dirt jumper.

      @@MTBTrailRider ok cool I'll definitely get it then. I have seen people like matt jones also riding smaller frames and a short as possible wheel base to get a lighter ride for comps. Edit: *I'll keep the clamp the same length* and some 30 mil rise bars I'll keep the wheel base normal length coz I'm large and it will be more comfortable.
      Thank you very much for taking the time for the reply! Really appreciate it bro.

    I'm also from Michigan, south east of Jackson. Do you have any local pump tracks?

    • @MTBTrailRider
      @MTBTrailRider 2 роки тому

      Hey! unfortunately, there are no pump tracks around here... When I filmed this, I was still in tennessee and we had several nice tracks. I just moved to SW michigan and I'm hoping to make a push for updated trails and might look at building a small pump track in this area.

    Hey Man nice video, do you think their is enough clearance in the rear to fit a 2.3 inch tire or is pretty cramped their?

    • @MTBTrailRider
      @MTBTrailRider 2 роки тому +2

      Definitely. The bike comes with vee XCV 2.25 tires. I’m currently using Maxxis ikon but they are 2.20 width. You would be ok with a 2.3 width tire though. I’m not certain if you went more than that how compatible it would be. But you’re also not putting big knobby tires on a DJ bike so you might get away with wider…
      All that to say… 2.3 yes you’re ok. More than that… maybe 😂

      @@MTBTrailRider Alright, Thanks for the information! I am gonna get some maxxis 2.30 Exo Minion tires. I prefer the feel of knobby mountain tires even on dirt jumpers. I was also concerned about the tire width because dirt jumper tend to be a bit narrow on the chainstay width, but yea I appreciate the information!

    Do you know what size the rear axle is? I am trying to get some louder hubs for mine but I couldn’t seem to find any measurements anywhere?

    • @MTBTrailRider
      @MTBTrailRider 2 роки тому

      Yes, it’s 135x10mm - the halo supa drive hub might be a good option. It’s one i’ve been looking at for awhile but haven’t pulled the trigger on it yet.

      @@MTBTrailRider will a 135x10 rear hub work that’s for a quick release or does it need to be a larger diameter? Because I’ve seen some that a quick release up with the same size won’t work

    • @MTBTrailRider
      @MTBTrailRider 2 роки тому

      I don’t think a QR will work…. But I am not 100%. The skewer on a QR is different but also wouldn’t be as strong either

    • @MTBTrailRider
      @MTBTrailRider 2 роки тому

      There’s different types of QR though… you can have a thru axle that’s still quick release.. I’ve not tested it for sure but I know the halo Supra drive hub will work

    • @MTBTrailRider

      I understand the concern. I felt the same way a couple years ago. They are direct to consumer supplier so they spend a lot of their money on social media ads. It can be a bit overwhelming haha… but all that to say, I don’t think you can find a better spec’d dirt jumper for the price of their trid + you get free shipping.
