It depends on what you need the arch for. If you are looking for a less expensive prop to use a couple times, foam board is a great choice. If you want prop for a party business that can be used repeatedly and used outside, plywood would be a better choice. It is always good practice to secure the arch in place with either weights like sand bags or taping it to the floor.
Hi, I have a printable template to make the foam board arch and that includes the support flaps behind the arch. You can find it here theeventanswer.com/products/40-60-arch-backdrop-tutorial-digital-download
Hey! Im interested in doing instead of a round chiary arch, I wanted to make a heart shaped one (heart on its side). But don't know how. Would you know or can you do on in expensive and do a video on it.
Foam board is a light weight and less expensive material than using wood. If you take care of the foam board prop, you can use them multiple times. Foam board will warp in humidity and dents easily, so storing and transporting them flat and protected from other props is critical.
Hi I loved your video. A mom of 2 kids and everything so expensive right now. Your video helps me a lot of how i will do my kids birthday without hurting my pocket. I want to ask of where can i download the printed out? If I want to make this arch. Thank you so much
First of all I would be careful using foam board props outside. If you do, make sure they are in a well protected area from wind and rain. To stabilize the arch, I like to slide my small sandbags through the hole in the flaps or tape the flaps down to the floor.

Muchas gracias! Increíble ❤

Are they usually made from foam? My concern is they’re so lightweight they’ll fall over easily? Especially with kids running around everywhere.

Great arching
The inner cut arch should be smaller than the outer frame, this being so, how is it looking larger?
Wow! You are amazing! I'm buying this template, right now! Thank you so much!
This is awesome
❤❤thank you
beautiful! thanks for sharing. What material is the backdrop curtain, and do you have a link? Thanks.
It's a boxwood wall from efavormart - bit.ly/3pyDUYh

Does a foam board with 1/2in thickness work as well?
Yes, 1/2" foam board would be great for an arch like this! It would be nice and rigid!
How do you add weight for outdoor setup for these stands?

This is fabulous ~ thank you! Just wondering what size rubber bands you are using?
