Economics & Finance at Ashoka University - pros, cons, and tips!

Hi everyone!
I'm taking a quick detour from my recent style of videos for a sit-down this time. This video is for prospective Ashoka students interested in taking Economics or Econ/Finance - I've gotten quite a few questions via email and this is one of the most popular majors at Ashoka, so I thought a brief run-down would be helpful for someone evaluating whether this is the right major for them. I walk through a basic course structure, my take on the degree, and pros and cons. I spent the last three years getting this degree, so I have some thoughts!!

Hey nitya, i need your advice.. Ashoka uni has been my dream university since i was in high school thus ill be applying next year for undergrad. Can you please tell me about its admission process in detail moreover ive heard its acceptance rate is kinda low so what's something i should be mostly focusing on? And i am somewhat confused about the major minor scenario as well, is there any official number from the uni itself which can clear my doubts regarding the courses available?Amongst the Written test, Interview and the On the spot Essay which one is the hardest to crack in your experience ? Do the 12th grades hold any significance ? I'd be waiting for your reply.. THANKYOU

It depends on where you get placed! Some of our best placements can get you at much more than that, but on average, I think the placement package is around 80k p/mo. This is what I remember from last year's stats
