That kasha is usually a mixture made of barley or buckwheat and meat, and is a very common dish in Eastern Europe and Russia. Usually it is very dry and you even have to add fat or liquid to it to get a slightly more pleasant texture and add depth to the taste.
There is a lot of vitamin A and iron in liver pate, and it gives the liver its characteristic taste.

I don’t think I would have tried the pate because unless it’s just me I see a black spot that makes me think it wasn’t good to eat. Nice review
