It seemed only fitting that the first entry into the Deck Diaries should be about one of my forever decks, The Llewellyn Tarot. Join me for a chat about what makes this deck so special to me and how I use it in my personal Tarot practice.

I so enjoyed your video! It has been too long since I looked at the Llewellyn Tarot. A reader wrote to me with a question about the trimmed deck via my website, and sent me this link. Thank you for your kind words. It is truly appreciated and uplifting to learn how people are tuning in to the subtleties, and gentle breeze that I had hoped would flow through the deck. When I was in my early twenties, I created "Legend the Arthurian Tarot" which has a story with each card. Sadly, it is out of print at present. My absolute favourite deck. No matter which issue, circumstance or situation I want to know about, the Llewellyn deck ALWAYS gives me the answer I need. I include numerology and astrology in this deck and I have a 700-page guide (and growing), written by me about my experiences with this deck. I don't know what it is about this deck but the first time I unpacked it, I felt a kind of electric tingle or perhaps a small thunderbolt in my fingers and I thought: "Yeah, this is it!" That was 5 years ago and I never looked back. Being a Celt of Welsh extraction, the stories in the book are familiar to me and many of them have a hidden message which I very much enjoy. Otherwise I don't use the guide book because Anne Marie is a tad too negative for me - too much doom and death and interpretations towards the physical plane, which, as I am sure we all know, is just a reflection of what's going on in your mind. I know from experience that your bank account, your boyfriend and whatever else runs around in your physical reality, is NOT what the Tarot is about. Instead it guides your thinking, or it should. The Llewellyn deck is the undisputed star at communicating your Spirit's guidance in a way that is clear and concise. I love it!

One of my fave decks because of the artwork and the alternate twist of the Waite-Smith tradition. No matter how many times I try to cull this deck...it always stays in my collection 🤗🤗🤗

I have two versions of this deck. One I just trimmed a little so it still has some border and the others is the completely trimmed mini deck. Definitely my favorite deck all time. I edged mine in that juicy orange. Definitely very comforting.
I have a second copy now with the borders as well. I'm glad to have both. I bet orange looks amazing!!

I ordered this deck months ago, after watching one of your videos. I absolutely love your trimmed deck- it pulls me in. However, I am repelled by my untrimmed version, I put it down almost immediately after sifting through the images for just a few seconds. I want to connect to this deck, so I think I have to trim it. I too love the color palate of this deck. I love your videos, beautiful lighting, I love your soothing voice & and your incites into the decks. Your deck mods are amazing!!!❤️⭐️❤️

What @hannahmoon said! Perfect timing. I just got this deck this week and fell for it instantly. I trimmed the edges and maybe in the future I will trim it too. Let’s see. But for now I just want to read the book and get to know the stories and spare the names in the majors while I get to know this deck. This deck just felt different than any other deck so far. I’m really exited to see how it ends up working between us.

I just found and ordered both the Anna K and Llewelyn!! Since we have such similar interests...I thought I better get these. 😆 You also got me massively trimming and merging the decks I have that weren’t trimmed.

What a great idea for a series. 🧡 I finally trimmed my Llewellyn after seeing yours so many times, and it's perfection. I actually hated the borders - the style was ok but I hated the colour. Now my deck gets a lot of love 😊 Love how you use it with the Anna K.

I think this is a deck I am very interested in getting. The only thing that gave me pause was when you said the elements for swords/wands are switched. Ehhhhh.... I mean, I can get passed that, but that is a struggle for me as I strongly associate wands with fire and swords with air. Other than that, this deck seems right up my alley!
I have the same associations you do with swords/air and wands/fire and it doesn't stop me from being able to work with this deck at all. I just read them as I normally would. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

It”s one of my besties but I’ve never used it in a spread with another deck. l’ll try it though, just have to find out with which of my other decks it could work (don’t have the Anna K deck). I got it...and I’m trimming! You are absolutely right. It really resonates. I don’t like people in decks and this art is sort of “muted” people. I can’t stand computer people! I much refer art.

I found this video when I went looking to see if you'd done a mod with me for the Llewellyn. I just ordered it after being introduced to it on your channel, and it *must* be trimmed! I would love to know what you used to edge it, specifically what color? I'm having trouble finding a good match. I love this series so much!

I finally bought the Llewellyn tarot deck ; I feel like it has been chasing me. I started reading the book and I actually really like the depiction of the "devil" card. Being protective! Of course depending on what cards are surrounding it. The horned one/the horned God is a part of my spirituality and I see him as a protector of the woods and animals! Loving this book/deck so far. I do like the way she depicts the devil as well. It really does depend on card surrounding it as to how I see it, but most often I see the Devil as ego-self, so depending on the context that can be either positive or negative. I hope that helps! 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

I have a trimmed and a bordered copy now, but my trimmed is my favorite. I used the Mildliner in yellow. It's a brand of highlighter actually, but it's my favorite yellow color. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️
