I’ve never been a fan of Asics, but they’re doing some great things recently! For daily running I cannot recommend the Glideride 3 enough. Give it a try, if you ever get the chance. Cheers!
Great review! ASICS seem to be entering a bit of a renaissance haha. Skimmed your videos and didn’t see the Nimbus 25, I am curious your thoughts on FFB+ and FFB+ ECO? I’m guessing ECO = a bit more firm in comparison.
As said in the last video comments, I'm not as big a fan of this as the novablast 3 and have concerns over longevity. Out of interest, how do you think this differs to the Triumph 21?
I tried them on , it has a nice wide base, the midsole is flared, more stable. My only concern is the midsole, I have Novablast 2, the midsole feels flat after 6 or 7 km in the run, I am not a heavy weight! It is a nice cushion shoes for short runs, walking or work. 26 is firmer than 25, more like PoweRun Plus Saucony. 👍🏻🏃🏽♂️
Surprised that Andy didn't compare the Nimbus 25 with the Nike Invincible. IMHO, the Invincible wins being the bouncier option due to the zoom x. The Nimbus 25 while very cushy lacks the response of the Invincible. I have them both anyway..😂
Thanks for the review and it confirms the reason I bought it (haven't used it yet as knee hurts a bit), that is its increased stability over other similarly cushioned shoes. But if I may, why are you talking in terms of zones and not paces when describing what this shoe is good at? I would assume that it is the pace that relates to how the shoe "operates", as opposed to a person's cardio fitness? I mean your "zone 2" (4min/Km pace, or 6:30min/mile!) would be most viewers zone 4 (or 5 even) for anything above 5K! I imagine this channel is not primarily addressed to competitive/elite runners? Or am I missing something?
Sorry, I’ve had a fair few comments coming in daily and it’s tough to keep up with them all. Appreciate your comment… I talk based on “effort” because that’s how I train. I train to effort and not pace, if I went out one day and ran 6:30 per mile and then did the same once again in the same week, then repeated this twice a week… not all of them will feel good depending on circumstances. My moderate zone 2 runs range anywhere from high 6:40s per mile down to low 6:30s depending on how I feel. I’d never advise training to any other metric than your own bodies effort 👏 And no. There’s no showing off here, I’d be a fool to do that when there are so many incredibly fast runners out there that are far better than me
Hi there, I am a big (see obese) guy, trying to change my bad habits and going for regular, daily walks. I can manage 2-3k per day but my feet, heels and knees are taking a beating. I have lost a lot of weight, but I am still a long way to go. What shoes do you think would be optimal for me? I was thinking these or the hoka bondi. The normal Nike sneakers I have I feel are just for show. Thanks!
I'm also curious if this could be an alternative to the Nimbus 25 for easy and recovery runs? I had the Nimbus and found it too bulky, heavy and blocky underfoot.
I think this is lighter… I haven’t tried the nimbus but I’ve been told this is a bit lighter. It’s still a wider platform shoe but it’s quite nimble to be fair! I really rate it 👍
Sometimes I have this sticky feeling at my heels when running with these shoes. The shoes arent sticky, but it sometimes feels that way. What is this or is it normal? It doesnt happen all the time, which makes it even more strange. Thanks for an answer anyone.
Great job Andy !! 👍Now I would be very interested to have your opinion about the Asics Superblast... Are you planing on testing them in the near future by any chance?
As an owner (and now fan) of the Asics Gel Cumulus 25 Blue/Orange, it is an insane shoe for avid runners, absolute must buy.

Bit difficult as they have discontinued the line.

Yes
Thanks for your review.

Usually when people compare 2 great shoes they make it seem like your only option is picking 1 but I always just buy both as well.
Hi Andy, you also liked Triumph 21. Do you prefer Cumulus 25 or Triumph 21?
Great review , any thougths on this one versus the Noosa ?
I just bought them they are so comfortable
Positive vibes for Cumulus and GT 2000. Way to go ASICS! Now if you can follow Adidas and make larger sizes of your faster shoes?
Yes please!
TBF to ASICS they have been the only running shoes that properly fit me in a size 14.
Great review, no foot slapping like in the Novablast 3?
Is that reflective? I was waiting for you to point where thàt is
New to running and got a pair of these for 35 quid off vinted really nice and my laces keep coming loose unless I double knot them
Yeah double knot them, the safest bet 👌

Just 30 comments but no reply. I guess you didn't like my constructive criticism lol. ust a case of showing off then.

Normal people don't run 4min/km at zone 2. Are you alien?
Im flat foot. Do you think i should half size up or order thw wide?
This vs Kayano 30? Cumulus is similar to Nimbus. Kaynao is harder/more stable.

I’ve heard the Cumulus 25 is basically a slimmed-down version of the Nimbus 25
How do you find this one compared to the Ride 15/16?
How do they compare to the Puma Forever Run? Thank
Wonder if this is similar to the Nimbus 24.
How does this compare to the Novablast 3?
I'm curious about this also.

Ive found on most people these lace up kind of narrow. Not sure how they fit you if you have a wide foot 🤔
Yes. If you have a slightly wide foot you definitely need to buy wide. They are slightly narrow. Wide would fit nicely.
Velocity nitro 2 or this?
For daily trainer wich is better cumulus 25 than pegasus 39????
Cumulus!
Thanks bro...
Great job Andy !! 👍Now I would be very interested to have your opinion about the Asics Superblast... Are you planing on testing them in the near future by any chance?
Not unless they make one in the size I also take - UK 13/US 14.
The laces on mine frequently come undone too. I have to double knot
Cumulus lineup is always better than nimbus IMHO ✌️
I miss the Jackson Pollock painting Asics they're looking so normie now
Get yourself some ASICS Noosa tri's!
geat review, great trainers, great laddie....lol
cheers dude!
