That Michael Pena killed it in this movie.. If you guys see it.. They did a fkn GREAT job. You could really feel the power of there relationship on the film. Its a great film.
This movie is an important movie, not only as a great piece of cinema but showing perhaps the most authentic and realistic, honest portrayal of police work ever made. I think the film should be mandatory viewing for people to show them the real shit police deal with and how dangerous the streets are. What's scary is that this movie doesn't even show the worst of criminals and the cartels.
Everyone needs to watch this movie right now(in may/June 2020). We hold cops up to an impossible standard. It's great to see a movie that really humanizes them.
Spot on! COP stands for "Common ordinary people" that have a job to do. They are not robots, real people who do care. TRUST ME, WE DON'T do it for the pay or anything else. Do it cause we love serving mankind. "Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called children of God" Matt 5:9
This movie was one of the greatest police films ever, not in the way people typically think of them, this is about humanity and love between brothers that go beyond race or religion or family background. This was a real one, a realistic one, and showed it in a manner that wasn't glorified or vilified, it was just realistic. I love Jake Gyllenhaal and the roles he has played before, such as Swofford in Jarhead, he does as much as he can to play those characters so damn accurately it is kinda hard to not see him as his characters.
The LAPD has definitely earned MY hate. In high school I was what you call a "Band Geek", a "Goody Goody", and yet they would mess with me for no good reason, pushing their weight around.
I just stubbled across the epic by chance nerve herd of it before just noticed 2 brilliant actors .. and its been on my TV non stop since 7pm yesterday I love it its a really powerfull LA movie and just shows u how tough the cops have gotta be over there the gangs are nuts its a war zone ... these 2 were amazing together what a performance . Brotherhood ✌out!!

I hope these 2 work on more movies together. They have good chemistry.
