My church tries to preach works for salvation and they try to quote the book of James but I tell them the book of James is a tribulation context and a future event because James 1:1 says to the 12 tribes of Israel scattered abroad and Pauline scripture speaks of "by grace through faith NOT of works least anyone should boast!" But they still persist so I'm trying to find me a church that teaches and preaches the correct doctrine!

My question to THEM is "why would a loving God or messiah give you a nightmare!?" And then I remind them that our mind is the devil playground. Ever notice when reading the King James Bible there's something about when your go to the verses and hear them and reading and looking at the actual words that later on somehow it just comes to my remembrance and I understand it. I can also recall where I saw it in my Bible somehow memorized it. Here a little there a little line upon line. That's how I know it's no ordinary book it is alive and it illuminates your mind. And for many years my father had back issues. He couldn't do as most fathers love to do, which is to carry their child on their back for fun. Now, does this healing legitimize his practice of ritual magick? NO! Additionally, there are many accounts of individuals receiving healing from "aliens", angels (fallen, likely), and even demons. Yes, they have power, but think of it this way... They are rewarding you for your sin!!!

I am starting to grasp this. But what about Jesus giving us authority to cast out demons in His name in the last days, to witness, giving my testimony, to baptize. Do I have the right things? Or am I wrong. It's not me doing these things, I am only a vessel. My hands are not mine. The Holy Spirit guides me. The Lord is my king and I'm his ambassador. I feel I need to go and sow seeds. It’s funny, I go to a Wesleyan church because it just naturally happened that way and I’ve stayed there because they teach from God. My family is pretty much Pentecostal and so is my grandfather who is a great man of faith in my life. I am 2 years a Christian now and most of my learning has been from “Baptist’s” but I just consider them bible believers. I consider myself a bible believing Christian in the body of Christ and that is my “denomination” although I lean more toward Baptist’s. Going through a hard time before being born again, my family told me a dream that I was falling in a pit and I was saved the last second. I never told them about the hard time I was going through and I knew it was from God and that was one of the only dreams they’ve ever told me in my life. I have seen miracles and healings through prayer but I do not agree with prioritizing them like the Corinthian church did. God will take care of things, we just have to be willing to be the instrument always. I would always suggest stepping outside of the perspective of denominations and seeing what Gods word says about all things. After all, it is infallible truth.
