Ironically it’s often a phrase used in the Horus Heresy books that there was a ghost of a smile so subtle you could almost think you imagined it. Or if you blinked you’d have missed it. Works well here don’t it? Hehehe

Doesn't mean you have to follow it to the dot. That's what Guilliman intended the Codex to be. Titus knows it's a guide made by his father. Leandros see's it as a rule.
The last page of the Codex, where it mentions that they should only use the book as a guideline, and not as hard-and-fast perfect rules, and should always adapt and think outside the box... should be called the Thiel Protocol.
That faint smile does show that, even though it has been over a century, Titus apprciates that history is repeating itself for the better. A jump pack dive through a debris field, directly towards the enemies is, after all, how his journey on Graia, and with it his interaction with the power source, began

I haven't played the first Space Marine game, but I did see RussianBadger's video about Leandros being a Codex D Rider, and then the scene of him betraying Titus This scene became my absolute favorite, seeing Titus and Gadriel grow a strong bond in a few moments and him helping Chairon with his personal debt.. that trust and brotherhood feeling.. I loved every second of it
Other than an attempt on the life of a superior on the mear accusation of a witch, the characters are somewhat well-written. But if it was a book written 5 years ago, he would have been tunred into a servitor.
Granted. Titus was being secretive and had clear history with a chaos relic. Not to mention fucking Leandro’s the Chaplain was probably in the background raising suspicions of Titus. Both sides had understandable reasons for their actions. Titus was emotionally wounded by Leandro’s betrayal and struggled to trust in anyone after. Galadriel meanwhile barely knew Titus and only started learning about him and his history in way that made Titus inherently suspicious. So, clear and compelling reason for everything so far. Blame that fuck Leandro’s.

Question, were they not still outside of planetary atmosphere when the Thunderhawk door opened? If so there should have been a violent expulsion of air the moment the slightest crack was opened before they put their helmets on thus making it unlikely they could stand there so casually and calmly.
But there was an expulsion of air (maybe not as violent as it should have been) And it was shown earlier in the game that they can “lock” their armor to not tumble/forcibly ejected, its pretty safe to assume they are doing the same here.
Calth wasn't though it was the site of the betrayal of Calth where the word bearers legion attacked the Ultramarines in the opening days of the Horus heresy
Calth was an important world of Ultramar, not a traitor world. It was the site of the Word Bearers' first open attack during the Horus Heresy where they launched a sneak attack on the Ultramarines and all but destroyed the planet. No one questions it not only because of that but because the initial "supply" of primaris marines came from Belisarius Cawl's giant fridge. They were recruited as children from across the entire galaxy during/shortly after the Heresy and experimented upon/trained over the intervening 10,000 years, most of which for them was spent in stasis.

Actually that sounds exactly what space marines and drop pods are made for? Sure it's a terrifying prospect if you're a mortal guardsmen in a thin-skinned boat, but these are the God Emperor's avenging angels bringing the hammer down on humanity's foes. Sounds pretty typical and there's probably an entire chapter in the codex dedicated to it. Edit: ok they're not in drop pods but my point still stands 😂
