Thank you for the video. Today, I learned that there exists Chainrings without spider 😀. I am myself new to cycling. Only 3 years ago, I bought a bike and use it for almost everything. My bike vocabulary is getting better on watching your video. For example, I bought TPU tubes after watching your video. Your analysis is logical. Thank you again. Forgive me for the following but I never got your name from the videos. Do you intend to share it or point out to the time in the videos where you mention your name? Thanks 🙂
Thanks for watching and your comment is a good encouragement to keep me going. I am also in a journey to learn and explore new ideas and products. You are correct, I never disclose my name on any video. May be one day I will, but today is not the day :)
Personally, not even a 1x12 set up provides me with the gears I need for regular road riding (climbs and flats) For regular commuting and what not, it should be perfectly fine depending on the cassette configuration. That being said, I do not see myself riding a 1X set up until maybe a 1x14 mechanical groupset happens to come out on the market, and even then, the cassette would have to be something like an 11-40 with a 46,48, or 50 chainring up front.

Yes, it is.

I agree with you. 1x is definitely not for everyone. I have 2 other bikes running 2X, which is to cover the changing grade in some terrains.
