In confined spaces electric is better as it is less hazardous. Gas is more economical in long run. If you have initial budget, and gas is allowed in your shop (as some mall/offices/buildings dont allow gas) then go for gas. If you want to keep initial cost low go for Electric. Hope it is very clear now
