Mega Blizzard and Massive Fire on our Colorado Mountain

- This is certainly the week for extreme weather all around the country. And this weekend it's our turn. The mega snowstorm from the western slope of Colorado has finally made it's way over the divide after teasing us with gale force winds for several days. This weekend we finally got the snow,but that's not all, we also had a huge fire on the mountain this weekend as well.

oh man! That's pretty chilly. We saw -12 this morning (after I unburied the thermometer from the snow, which was insulating it).

I saw, yesterday, where NOAA put out avalanche warnings for Breckenridge so maybe Keystone being closed was a good thing. And, thanks Bryan, now we need to take one of those UV lamps to the used car dealerships when the salesman gives us the "it's your lucky day" pitch!
haha! Yes avalanches are a huge.problem with giant storms like this. He lucked out twice that he didn't show up at closed resort and missed the parking lot traffic on the highway!
I had a dusting here in south park last week. The wind blew the snow into drifts that kept me shoveling for days to get out.

It's amazing that at over 9000ft. you are warmer than I am in N. Idaho. I've had below zero for the last 3 mornings and now they say up to a foot of snow over the next 5 days.
It's quite interesting about the weather inversion, that we are actually warmer than Denver the past couple of days. But today was -12 in the morning. The snow much deeper today than it was yesterday for this video!

Go in and sit by the fire, maybe put a nice movie on and I know it might sound corny or cheesy but some hot chocolates maybe mint hot chocolates with real mint chocolate

The trouble you have being near Bolder is the wind. I lived on 45 miles from Denver off of highway 285. We had wind too, but not at the level Bolder and the surrounding area like you have.
Very true! The wind is supposed to get much worse this week.
You have been lucky so far as we have here in upstate New York with big snowfalls, but skiers like you might debate that. It looks like the winter sports season is getting ready to take off, which is good for the economy.

Hi nice storm here we get snow then turns to rain so we dont have much snow here at all more ice then snow. The door looks real good but is that plug by the cabinet GFCI ?
Sounds like Vermont! Snow one day then rain the next. I think one of the outlets was CFGI on the back wall, perhpas that other was not.
@@ColoradoMountainLiving yes where not too far from vermont. New Brunswick here we get almost the same as them just later. GFCI is required Anything 3 feets or less from water needs GFCI, even concrete floors you have to put GFCI circuits, youre code might be different then us. So how was the storm, is it over?
