Facts bro. I’m a white man who married a black woman I fell in love with when I was 12 years old. Stuck by me through everything. I remember watching my platoon sergeant losing it back in Sangin Afghanistan bc he found out his wife was cheating on him. Never my problem. She was always there for me, even after I came home all fucked up. Two years of hospital beds and rehab, another year of general drunkiness. Wake up screaming, nightmares every night for five years. She sacrificed everything for me, she was always there. Now we have two beautiful children and I just have to hope the families they marry into will be as open and accepting as our families were. Discrimination based on race is for retards and fuckups. It makes me sad to see a resurgence in racial derision. We are all the same at the end of the day.
