@@mariapagan7786 i know as an anorexic you probably get mad at people saying they're starving as an exaggeration because you're the only one who knows what 'true' starvation is, but shut up babe. when people say theyre starving they 9 times out of 10 don't mean it literally.
I was at my highest weight at 290lbs in 2020 and was also beginning a relationship with my boyfriend. I didnt tell him my weight until a few months ago out of embarrassment, and didnt want to tell him or anyone until after i lost weight. This morning im 242 :)

You considerately as well as realistically took a personal accounting of yourself as an individual and actually accepted what you believed was an issue about which you had a valid and very real concern (your weight). You then set about addressing it logically instead of emotionally, and as a result of your sincere honesty with yourself AND your obvious tenacity, you have seen the fruits of your labor (a noteworthy and respectable amount of weight loss). Update : Kanae had setbacks , but she was able to lose almost 200 lbs, but she is unable to get the surgery at this time because of her heart. They are not sure if she will be able to survive the surgery at the moment. I think she roughly down to 490 now.

Its not often you see one of Dr Now's patients being so caring about the feelings of their loved ones, being honest about how they got to their size and just coming across as a pleasant human being in general. I wish her all the best. Oh, and her husband deserves a mention for his patience and kindness. He clearly loves her very much.
Your exactly correct ..most of his patients are extremely selfish individuals. They have no remorse for putting their family members or friends through that craziness. This woman seems to have lots of feelings and genuinely cares about her family..the husband, as you stated, really does love her.
Yeah, people are usually this weight because of mental conditions, which often comes with horrible attitudes. It's just the nature of addiction really. Especially with addictions that people really don't want to get rid of, or even see as addictions... as is with food. People who don't *want* to get better get very defensive and aggressive towards people trying to help them. It's all very sad. With this woman, you can see someone who will probably succeed since she seems to be above or past many of those mental issues.

The nurse announcing how much she weighs reminded me of the nurse at a doctors office where I used to go, The scale was in hallway and when she weighed you she would loudly announce your weight so the whole waiting room heard her😱😂

@@ddlove6531 A regular scale doesn't weigh someone this large. It's perfectly natural to not know how much she weighs. Most people don't have specialized scales for morbidly obese people. She could of probably dealt with 400 lbs, etc but was shocked to be so far off.

This video absolutely broke my heart. This is a first that I am crying from watching this series. She took accountability right away and the emotional despair she was in throughout was very painful and sad to see. When she apologised to her husband, you know she meant every word so sincerely. She has the perfect documentary voice! I would watch any documentary about any subject if she was narrating it
Every step is such a painful task for her. Imagine carrying that much weight, it must be horrid to move. I am glad she sis not gain weight. Everyone must start at a certain place or number, but they do not have to stay that way. The hunger and craving for food must be addressed. Some people eat when happy, sad, bored, stressed or any other reason. There must be some way to stop the food cravings to help people like Kenae.

The only fault I can find with dogs is their relatively short lifespan compared to ours.
It broke my heart seeing the dogs chained up. It’s not acceptable or necessary. They seem a lovely family so I hope they love and care for their animals.

You clearly don’t know what it’s like to have an insatiable hunger. As someone who lives an active and healthy lifestyle I feel like I’m starving all of the time. I can eat an entire cantaloupe or 6 bananas in one sitting and be hungry 2 hours later
She is incredibly insightful and kind. I am predicting she will do well. As long as she has someone challenging her negative self-talk, providing mental health support, and correcting her cognitive distortions.

You guys don't understand. She *knows* she's large, but as long as she doesn't see the number she doesn't have to face how bad it really is. She has emotions and shame attached to knowing the actual number. A lot of fat people are triggered by finding out their actual weight
@@DarthFurie I UNDERSTAND that concept. But the point you're not getting that I'm suggesting is that it SHOULDN'T be so bothersome. The reality of how massive she is should be more triggering than the number. The reality of her weight is impacting her emotionally, socially, physically, on a REGULAR basis. So it's not like she or her husband is oblivious to it. It's a significant impairment to their life.
That idea would make more sense if she were seeing a number for something that isn't apparent, like maybe a bank account balance. You never see it until you do. Then it becomes real.
I don't care for the number on the scale. This would be the last thing I worry about. My doc told me my ideal weight would be 120lbs. But I'm 1,76m tall and I looked so damn skinny... At 140lbs I looked normal so the number on the scale is just that, a number.
I would be ashamed to use things that help me walk, shower, breath...
Don't focus on the numbers, everything else around you will show the truth about your health 😐
Do you know how many calories she has to eat per day to maintain that weight? He knows damn well she’s in the 500-600 range. She’s not as big as Tammy Slaton 😳
I really feel for this lady. I was 204lbs in Jan 2020 and felt huge, sluggish and lethargic. My mental health was not the best either and I had a slight food addiction. By July 2021, I lost nearly 60lbs and weighed around 147lbs and I’ve managed to maintain that weight even today. I did this through daily intermittent fasting 19/5 or 20/4 plan and consuming a plant based diet, doing HIIT boot camps, lots of walking/trekking, weight training, swimming, etc. Although I feel much better, it’s still constant daily work. I wish this lady all the best in her journey. She needs support and take it one day at a time, very small steps 😊
