    This looks like a fabulous system, user friendly & mainly stress free. A very good tutor too.

    This was a wonderful webinar! It cleared a lot of fog from my introduction to Qmatic. Thank you for doing this. I hope Bernina continues to support Q20/24 owners this way in the future. Where do I find the pdf material referred to in the webinar at the beginning? I could not find this recording there.

    How do you do the practice stitches to check your tension like shown in video. Do you have to disengage belts?

    • @BerninaInternational
      @BerninaInternational  Рік тому

      To check your tension for best stitches prior to quilting an edge-to-edge design, it is in fact best to do this freehanding on the side of the quilt, for which you need to disengage the belts.

    , this happens to me and I don't understand why it does this. It would have been helpful to have explain what happened and how to ajust the safe area again. Also When you unlock the belt to check thread tension, I asume you have to redo safe area? Thank You!!

      See if this tutorial video will help you reset your safe area. ua-cam.com/video/vWtGTXzeVqc/v-deo.html

    Why did you leave the space (safe area) at the top before quilting the next row

    • @BerninaInternational
      @BerninaInternational  10 місяців тому

      Sorry for the delay- our instructor for this video retired and I needed an expert opinion on your question. I believe that the safe area was left as part of an earlier practice of moving the grid to match the sewhead. This is not a necessary step, but was done to help the viewer see the grid matching to the where the needle is. Now we simply look to see where the crosshairs of the sewhead are and use that as our trim point on the left and right. This eliminates the space you see at the top of the safe area. The safe area is the safe area and is set. The grid can be moved or “repositioned” on screen under the “realign safe area” icon on row two of Q-matic.

    Why do I need hydraulics. They are very expensive. I’ve had my machine without qmatic for five years and haven’t needed hydraulics.

    I still don't understand it. It's too much at once. I wish I never bought it.

      It can be a lot to learn for sure, we hope that you can connect with your local dealer for some more support in person. We also have class opportunities available in person at some quilt shows and from the BERNINA Creative Center in Aurora, IL. Check here for upcoming classes in the US: www.bernina.com/en-US/Learn-Create-US/Classes-Webinars-and-Events/Creative-Center
