I like art hauls - they're where I learn about the different products available. I'm also mature enough to know when a product is for me or not, and able to make up my own mind about it. I'm sure others are as well. Please keep doing them as I really enjoy your videos 🙂
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your comment. I think that’s where the problem with the art hauls are, is people buy stuff, don’t like it and then blame the creator perhaps? But I’ve done that before! Bought stuff I’ve seen in an art haul and not ended up liking it… that’s down to me though! Not them ☺️
I LOVE art hauls, its lovely to see things you don't know about and NEED 😂 but love seeing what people have bought, love getting tempted and have bought MANY things from watching hauls. I'm on my own and got no friends or family and love watching like minded people, I've just had a summer house built for an art studio, saved for a long time!!? Then had no body to tell 😂
Ahh thank you so much for your comment! I love that, I find things I simply NEED all the time 🙈🤣 It’s just nice to share the excitement with people. And I have been frustrated in the past when I’ve not had the money to buy all the shiny, lovely art supplies i see online. I still don’t now to be honest 🤣🤦🏻♀️ Your new art studio sounds amazing!! You should start a UA-cam channel so we can all share your joy! 😉
I enjoy haul videos that show what artists are excited about and why and I see things I might not know about otherwise. I dislike sponsored hauls. So this one is great! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching! I see what you mean by the sponsored hauls. I was very excited when I started a UA-cam channel about art brands sending me things to review. But I’ve since learned that accepting crap just to make a video about is not the direction I want to take things in.. Although I will accept products to make a video if it’s actually something I really want to try! 😆
I loved this and all your videos really! Your excitement is contagious!! so fun! I think your content is amazing and I am hooked to watching your process. I love hearing about all your discoveries and how things work together is helpful. Thank you so very much! btw I have a cart now with Jacksons....I was filling it with some of you items. Great colors....I will weed thru things and wait til next month to order....the pastels look amazing. I too hate the chalk feeling ...gives me goose bumps thinking about it.😬
I love art hauls, yes I want to buy things but mostly it’s good being introduced to supplies I haven’t seen before. Saves me buying something I won’t like/use. Really interested in the dewent pencils, Hobbycraft have the full tin at a bargain price (just over £30) plus they have £10 off a £50 spend. I love all your videos Amber, would love more abstract art videos and/or beginner art videos.
I may or may not have already taken a trip to Hobbycraft and feasted upon that £30 Derwent Drawing offer 😏🤣 it was too good to miss! I’ll make a video about them soon. Thing is I think sometimes we can get sucked in by the new, shiny thing. I’ve seen and bought lots of things from other people’s art hauls that I don’t end up loving. But that’s a me problem and not a them problem! 😅 I’m feeling an abstract itch again right now so perhaps there will be more of those videos coming soon! Thank you so much for watching 🩵x
I've been subscribed since you made this channel but have only just got around to watching your videos! So sorry! Anyway loving these, so relaxing to listen to. Also love how long they are!❤
Just wanted to say how much I enjoy all your down to earth art videos and love sharing your excitement in your haul of Christmas gifts. It’s great to see what’s out there and what you think of it 😊
I love art hauls. Tend to watch tons of them whenever I’m in search of what to buy next or if I actually need to buy what caught my eye 🙈😁 So don’t look at those who puts dislikes, they have no idea of how exciting it is to open your parcel and share the joy with creative community 🤗
Same here! Especially around Christmas or my birthday, I watch loads of art hauls 😍 Thank you for watching mine! I really appreciate your comment. And thank you again! 🩵
Bravo you!!!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Everybody has different, socioeconomic resources, and those that don't want to buy art supplies should not shame those of us who do. They can look away. Thank you so much for the fun!!!
Thank you so much for your comment! I’m glad you enjoyed watching. I do just struggle with people conforming to other people’s problems all the time 😅 own it and move on!
I got pan pastels for Christmas so I would love tutorials with them. I also have the Faber Castell soft pastels that you have. I have a few Rembrandt and those are super soft and buttery.
Ooh I’ve been getting into my pan pastels again recently so I’ll think about some videos soon! ☺️ I have also been using the faber castell soft pastels quite a lot since I recorded this haul. They’ve definitely grown on me!
I enjoy art hauls, I am influenced by them sure, but I’m able to only spend what I can afford and am better at working out what I’ll use and what I won’t use. Edited to add - took me a while to realise I could buy things open stock! That’s the best way to try out things I think without committing to a full set of things that may not get used. But the pull of a set is strong, those beautiful colours always look so great together!
That’s a sensible way of looking at things and buying open stock is the best way to do it I think! That way you can try lots of things out. I do have lots of sets of art supplies and find myself not using so many colours. It’s nice to try a full set of something to get to know which colours you like but after that open stock is great!
Similarly to you I had a Derwent drawing black and a white and maybe a terracotta when I was a teenager and didn't really get much out of them. I found an old pencil case recently at my parents house and found the black, so recently I bought the white as I have heard so many good things about it online. Haven't got really stuck into it yet, but I plan on doing a lot of coloured backgrounds in my sketchbook so I think it could be great for that. I'm also a big fan of the Ecoline pens. I find them so useful but am now at the point I really don't need any more. Things on my mental wish list : the gansai tambi art nouveau set. But I don't know if it's just because everyone else seems to have it that I want it, so I am letting it just sit at the back of my mind for a good while before I take the plunge.
The Derwent Drawing white is my favourite white! It’s yet to be beaten for opaqueness for me. I bet I’ve gotten through 10-15 of those pencils so far 😂 I wish I still had my first set of Derwent Drawing! I bought the Gansai Tambi art nouveau set because I saw everyone had it 😂 but I loved the colours and if I’m honest it’s one of my favourite art supplies I own right now. I loved them so much I bought the big 48 set but I don’t use that half as much as the art nouveau colours!
I’m always amazed by people expecting that public content should be catered to their individual taste when all they have to do is scroll if something is outside their taste. I, personally, am thrilled you did an art haul! You do a great job introducing us to products we may not know about but that you appreciate. Now, question…what prompted you to seek out the Shin Han gouasche? I know very little about this product line - does it have a really good reputation? Also…jaune brilliant is lovely as a watercolor (transparent) - a gorgeous sky wash color.
I think it’s just the new way of things now unfortunately. A lot of people seem to be very entitled and expect everyone to cater to them or else you’re a terrible person! I won’t be doing it 😂 So thank you for your comment! I really appreciate it. The gouache - honestly I just saw that the Shinhan had the most amazing colour range! And I have tried the Winsor and Newton and the Schmincke. I’ve seen Sarah Burns use and love the Shinhan so I thought I might buy a few tubes! It feels so creamy in texture so I’m really excited about them.
Regarding the white watercolor pencils, I have several brands, and I found that the white from Derwent Graphitint is more opaque than the ones from Museum Aquarelle and Albrecht Dürer. Just thought I'd let you know in case you want to give it a try. ❤😊
I loved your response. If you don't like them, don't watch. It's irritating how people think they can bully people. You should never have to apologize for art haul videos. Geez people! Get a life.
Thank you! 😂 I don’t really want to address it in these videos as it brings the vibe down for me but also I just want people to know I won’t stand for it because if you don’t like something, click off or don’t watch it! Lots of entitlement around. People expect everyone to cater for them. Not me 😅
This whole thing about people criticizing for art haul videos is utter nonsense. I don’t watch videos I’m not interested in and I don’t use it as an excuse to push my standards on others. I like art hauls and I’m a someone who doesn’t like having too many things. I get to feeling overwhelmed but that’s a whole other subject. I watch because I like to see what other people are interested in, if they end up liking it and some times, on a rare occasion, I see something new that I might like. Those people who like to push their ideals on other people need to remember that it’s none of their business what other people spend their money on, or collect and they only look to be very jealous and petty people. I also don’t sugar coat things either. Can you tell? 😊
This is why I cant watch vet programs, I'd have to hug my furr babies for the entire day and they dont appreciate the neediness 🤣🤣 Just want to add that I'm very happy to be tempted by new supplies, love a good haul
😂 I don’t know how I used to watch shows like Animal Cops because I couldn’t handle it now. I love dogs and animals but watching sad films and shows about them now just ruins my day so I don’t go there 😂 I even cry at happy ones!! Thank you for watching! I’m glad you enjoyed it ☺️
Ha interesting! Does that mean you prefer to buy your art supplies in singles and open stock? Because if so that’s very sensible! I have full sets of coloured pencils from years ago doing realistic art with them and so I’m glad I have them but now I would rather just buy the colours I want… although the Holbein Luminous watercolour range that just came out got me good 😅
I'm not making this comment because I am a fan of this channel. This popped up on my for you page. I just wanted to watch a nice haul seeing what other people are enjoying. With that being said, going out of your way to click on a video YOU KNOW is a haul video and click the dislike button is weirdo behavior. Just go watch a video you like...I'm so confused... Does it bring you joy to dislike something when someone is doing something so innocent?
I appreciate your comment! Thank you. I think there is a lot of entitled behaviour going on recently. People expect to be catered for by everyone and that’s just not the way the world works 😅 Especially not small creators sharing their art joy on UA-cam!
Oooh those pastels look amazing! Such a brilliantly put-together set of colours....needs a lemon yellow though I feel. The Ecoline I used a few years ago, and got bored with them after I moved to alcohol markers. I am also interested in the Shinhan gouache too, so will be eager to know what you think and how it's different to the W&N. As for the pencils, yeah, Luminance are lovely and you've got me wondering where my light blue pencil has gone!! Also...older and more sophisticated 🤭Made me smile.
The videos I enjoy watching are the ones with artwork being made. Start to finish art, either a sketchbook spread with a voiceover chat, or a full painting with the artists thoughts about the process. I love to see someone just practicing, and trying out an idea. Anything where there's some chat and nerdy stuff. I enjoy a good studio vlog too, but mainly those are with OG art youtubers. I also watch a few pottery channels, woodworking, and polymer clay too. Those are all usually making a thing from start to finish...which, I think it my fave.
Thanks Helen! I looked at which colours I wanted for way too long one night 🙈😂 loving them though and I will deffo add to my collection. Which I was planning on using the other half of my vouchers for, but have you seen Holbein just bought out a massive range of granulating watercolours??? 😱 I do love the eco lines and they are fun for mixed media stuff which I don’t like to use alcohol markers for. The Shinhan gouache feels so creamy and it just dispersed over the paper so lovely. I will compare them with my Winsor and newton and see what I think! I couldn’t keep a straight face on the older and more sophisticated… who am I kidding 🤦🏻♀️🤣
These are the sorts of videos I want to include more of here. Either full length process videos like I did with the watercolour pumpkins that time or sped up Timelapse style with a voiceover. It’s good to have a mixture of everything I think!
I like art hauls - they're where I learn about the different products available. I'm also mature enough to know when a product is for me or not, and able to make up my own mind about it. I'm sure others are as well. Please keep doing them as I really enjoy your videos 🙂

You do not have to justify your purchases to anyone. I enjoy hauls because I might see something I might want to try.
I agree. I was going to say the same thing. 😊
Thank you! I appreciate this ☺️
Thank you! 🩵
Enjoy your new supplies 😊
Oh I will! Thank you so much x
Such a cute haul, cant wait to see what you create with these pieces ☺
I LOVE art hauls, its lovely to see things you don't know about and NEED 😂 but love seeing what people have bought, love getting tempted and have bought MANY things from watching hauls. 😂 I like the way you think! Thank you!

Love this, gives me ideas to try for my own art work!💕
Thank you for watching! ☺️
I always like to gather ideas from other artists for my own art ☺️
I've been subscribed since you made this channel but have only just got around to watching your videos! So sorry! Anyway loving these, so relaxing to listen to. Also love how long they are!❤
Love hauls thanks for sharing, appreciated.
Thank you for watching! ☺️
Keep those packing peanuts to use as blenders with soft pastels!
I haven’t thought of that before! I’ll try it! Thanks ☺️

My studio is more like a tiny cluttered cave. I’ll have to share it one day but I’m a bit embarrassed 😂

Reviews, and doing an art piece showing how to use with the chosen reviewed medium(s) there’s only so many art hauls that one can do
I agree! I think it’s nice to have lots of different types of videos. Hauls, reviews, short and long process videos. I enjoy a variety!
