  • This is derived from the use of a 15 volt AC to 7.5 volt AC Voltage Divider. The average current coming out of the wall is about 0.08 amps, therefore the circuit saves 50% on electricity. The fluctuating current measurement is probably due to the top capacitor being damaged and about to pop its top like another one did when I applied 30 volts AC to the circuit using a 4:1 step down transformer. The capacitors are good for 50 volts, so perhaps they kept charging above 30 volts somehow. This circuit can be used for any digital electronic device needing 5 volts DC depending on how much the maximum current it provides. This will be the simplest model I will provide. Can be used to charge your cellphone, tablet etc.
