Keep scrapping & Have fun! - Навчання та стиль
Ben is the kind of guy you could be friends with, hang out all day, drinke a beer and enjoy the chat. Help him out to scrap a bit. Would be great friend.
The chicken trying to eat the chips is hilarious.
Small world, I just scrapped a bunch of these as well. No video this time, just cranking through making space. I've had mixed results selling the SFP's but always nice when I can sell them. Like you I get a lot of comments about reselling the electronics I get. But if you're not a regular on eBay most stuff just sits there. Plus there's a huge difference between "vintage" and old electronics. Keep having fun my friend.
The adult toy bit made me giggle, I can't believe she rang with her personal collection of 2😂 (they only contain a switch and a tiny motor FYI🙃) but you made me die when you suggested she put them in her recycling bin, that would not go down well here🤣🤣🤣
Loved this episode, watched and listened while painting my nails🙂
Always appreciate the scrapping along with the chat.
I loved it when you were talking about how it used to be or how you used to do things!!
Tell us what you were like as a youth, like your taste in movies and music & other things!!!
Please keep doing that!!
It's a job and someones got to do it. No such thing as a useless job if it requires effort. You are keeping that nasty stuff out of landfills, I'm cheering you on! -watcher from the U.S.
Great job Ben. Please take care and stay safe. 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️😎😎😎
I just subscribed to your channel, many of my viewers recommend your channel and I’m looking forward to watching your videos!
Great video. Thanks for taking us along
Excellent Marathon Ben thank you for sharing this six stars brother
Awesome video
love it
Ya this was cool I could listen to you all day take care ben
Nice video good ❤
Glad you are doing great in the Land Down Under….. Best wishes sir.
When are you going to make street-scrapping videos again ? I miss those old treasure hunt footages.
some of the areas where he did them no longer do that kind of put junk out thing so there's not many places he can do the street scrapping (compared to a few years ago its nearly none!)
they may be few but they are good when he does em!
He said they are starting in winter, so around june/july. So soon!
Great video
Great stuff as always Ben! I’ve seen you scratch off the thermal paste with screwdrivers and your fingernails a few different times. Just wanted to let you know that stuff comes off pretty easily with isopropyl and a cloth, in case you weren’t aware. Cheers from the US!
24:27 maybe she wanted the real thing and called you 🎉
Great Video Ben Keep Bringing The Video's Dude God Bless You And Your Family 🙏🙏
Always nice video , Ben , greating from holland
It's just a nut driver Ben. They can load them into the driver which has a magnetic insert, much more positive than a Phillips.
Yup impact nut driver self tappers
chica bow cika bow wow
Did ya atleast have fun with em? 🤣
54:30 Ben, most silver stackers aren't actually looking to make a big profit off of it. Instead they invest in silver to retain their wealth in something that is decoupled from the dollar/pound/euro/what have you. It's more of an insurance than a money-maker as silver will retain its actual value (purchasing power) over time. Just speaking from experience knowing more than a few stackers globally.
👏👏
👍
I think that lady might have 3 toys ?
🎉
Who gives a flying what other people think? You know what works for you, stuff them!
Looks like the chook is moulting. Madam is not at her best 🙂
Yaa hooo 🎉😁
I thought the noise on the first half was from nearby construction.
They're called SFP transceivers. In the case of this switch, fiber SFP transceivers
Small Form-Factor Pluggable. The newer ones are SFP+ and QSFP. That's the good stuff.
In Romania we just call them pods :) .
When taking the screws out of flat thin (sometimes L shaped) aluminium brackets / heatsinks what size screwdriver do you use. I have tried most sizes, they just round the screw heads off Are they JIS, Japanese International Standard. Thanks, great video as always
Let me know when you get 10G SFPs. I will buy those from you. Those are the modules you insert into those slots you were referencing in the beginning of the video. The hardware you can't sell is still good for lab equipment but nothing else. Cisco stops supporting devices at a predetermined date and the equipment essentially becomes a paperweight and vulnerable. Cisco does an alright job supporting their hardware for 10 or so years from release and 5 years after end of sale.
Hi Ben do you process the LNB on the satellite dishes 📡 because most of them are covered in gold but not the Chinese ones. Great vids thanks
20 Celcius is actually 68 Fahrenheit. Was thinking a 40 Fahrenheit day wouldn't be comfortable in a tee-shirt.
Great video mate. Would love to see more videos kike we used to get.
Ben how do you get clients to collect stuff from?
Do you use impact drivers?
You don't need to press down on the drill as much when you screw/unscrew. They would take any drill bit on a hex.
Would thoroughly recommend giving one ago. If I wasn't in the UK I would lend you mine for the afternoon!
Lol yes they have a bit
When are you going Back to Street Scrapping
Here in the USA in Virginia were getting between 0.09 to 0.11 per pound or 0.19 to 0.23 per kilo so you guys over there have double the scrap steel price we do
You should have told the caller with the BOBs (Battery Operated Boyfriends) that you deal with eWaste not vWaste
Ben, need your help/recommendation. I just picked up 2 Cisco Nexus 700 series switch towers. Are the 7000 switch towers work breaking down for gold or should I just break them down and sell the boards. I'm located in the US. I'm a scrapper but my knowledge on computers and E-waste is limited on what good and what not. Do you have any videos that breaks down and shows up close the valuable parts on these and other E waste?
Love your video. thanks
Usually you will get better value selling as a board, same as PC boards
@@eWasteBen Ben, thanks. I thought that put wanted to get the pro advice :) Thanks for the video, there great and I learn a lot from them.
does taking the heat sinks off mid-grade boards downgrade them or is it better to leave them on for the weight?
Depends on the material of the heatsink
@@ValacircaTN I was referring to the smaller aluminum ones
Leave them on for weight
flat head screws should go the way of the cave man and they should retire philps heads in exchange for torks as they are fetter to use in almost every situation and are less likely to strip like philips do. love ur videos also what was causing the interference in the video?
G'day Ben I'm new to scrapping and im having trouble finding where to take my 50 odd kgs of telecom boards, PC motherboards and general other bits of circuitry and im having trouble finding where to sell it? Im located in Melbourne
I buy in Melbourne
scrapforum.com.au/forum/scrapping-electronics/computers/12168
The mlcc are not valuable?
🙂👍🇧🇻
SFPs you're thinking of mate, always better money selling them on their own
Maybe the flat head screws were a special cheap purchase old stock
The Yanks like to use hex heads in everything for some reason. You can buy hex head drivers like they use for roofing screws in many sizes that makes easy work of them using a drill
You have a slight buzzing noise on your sound Ben
yes, first 30+ min the buzz/beep sound was no good for the ears. After the battery change it was good :)
Ben you may want to want to run those numbers again, a ton only has 907 kilos so you would be getting $397 per ton. I know 40 bucks is not a make or break ya is can throw your numbers off st the end of the year
A tonne is 1000kg, in the US they go by short tonne because 2000lb is 907kg
why does nobody that want to buy the plastic
it's not clean plastis, has a mix of chemicals and fire retardant so it's hard to recycle
The sex toy call is a bit out there. I'm pretty sure it's one of your buddy's wives messing with you.
Ben, around minute 42 you are holding a board, i the botom left corner, oposite side of the CPU there is some sort of memmory card, it might have some good resell value, might be worth looking into it
What is that noise in the background? The video is interesting but that noise is annoying 😅
10mins of this repetitive drivel bored me shirtless.
