Hi TT Guy. Thanks for another entertaining and informative video. Have you considered doing a video on turntable lubricants. For example which lubes to use on each turntable, motors, spindles, cams, etc. I was thinking of doing that video but I got most of my information from you.
Hi there. I have thought of it. I have spoken about different lubes/oils in various videos, but sometimes it is brand specific (eg. Rega uses gear oil, etc..). Thanks for the suggestion.
I have this turntable. The tone arm scratches the record during reject. It seems it is too low. However, I dont see an adjustment for tone arm height to prevent this. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Nevermind!!! On the side of the lift assembly, where the tone arm rests, there is a small hole. Embedded in this hole is an Allen screw. Insert .050 wrench and turn counter-clockwise. It will loosen and you can move that assembly up and down. Re-tighten when its at the correct optimum height. You may have to re-adjust your tone arm. BOO-YAAA!
any change you plan to make a video for Sony PS-T20? I'm having a unit with issue with the automatic system. something about the solenoid doesn't work properly. thanks!
Waiting for a repair PS-T20. Difference between T15 & T20? I still have adjust mine. In the cradle when off, the arm seems to float a little bit to the left. I.e. not staying at the return position or off.
I was wrong about the auto return. I found vintage service manuals for sale on ebay for both models. It seems the t15 is the later model made around 1979 and later in Korea. The t1 was made earlier in Japan. I also found in specs that t15 has slightly better s/n ratio. Otherwise, I couldn't find anything more. Google has become just useless. I remember when you could find anything about anything
@@TurntableGuy sir I have this machine. I known there where no groubd cable. But it is not supporting phono input also. I have to connect to amplifier with axl mode.
Got one of these with cut audio cables 8 years ago fixed the cables and have been using it since no problems 👍
Thanks for this. I just got one of these for $20 and am looking forward to getting it back in use. Thanks again for your helpful videos and tips!
Great job on this one, you do a really great job on showing how to service these turntables. Thanks!
you do a great job. But I do have a question, why you did not check the rubber?

How do adjust to make the arm go home at the end of the record...mine doesn't return the arm to its roost?
Could you install another cartridge on this record player? For example, an audio technica AT 95 E Cartridge?
Yes. Any 1/2 inch mount cartridge can be installed.

I can't make a video unless one shows up for repair. I try to film as many makes and models as possible.

Hi! Greetings from Venezuela. Could you help me with an issue wifi my Sony PS-FL5 please??
Very cool video. Is there any way you can do one on the pst25? Recently picked up one on Facebook marketplace.
Only if one comes in for repair.
What is the difference between the PS-T15 and the PS-T1?
I think the t1 doesn't have auto return. But just a guess

@@uncleeddie5813 Thank you. I was considering buying one as a present for my dad, Mine is a PS-T30. In my country the ps-t1 or ps-t15 go for ~$80
picking up one of these today for $30 Can
Can you use this turntable for dj-ing and scratching?
No, it's not meant for that kind of torture.
It's for home listening only...
It has no ground cable?
Many tables do not have a ground cable. It could be internally grounded or attached to the negative on one of the RCA plugs.

33 rpm speed button does not work
It can't be called an "overhaul" if you are not recalibrating or at least checking the motor control waveforms as per the service manual.
