He was, that's right. Other companies had some Japanese idols here and there but SM did not, Yuta was the first, just like Ten was the first Thai idol in SM. Chinese idols had been debuting in SM for a long time, as far back as Super Junior and EXO, but not Japanese or Thai. JYP set the standard for having Japanese and Thai idols with GOT7 and TWICE. SM was innovative and progressive in other ways but they were not very good at treating their foreign idols well
They've worked so hard... it breaks my heart sometimes when i saw them talk about how hard it is to be foreigner idol in korea, but im glad that now everyone in this entire world can give them a lot of love that they deserve♥♥♥♥
Not having anyone else in your group who is from your home country and speaks your first language must’ve been really lonely at times. I’m glad Shotaro and Shohei are here!
It is a pity that Yuta doesn't want to join NCT Japan as he wants to stay in 127. He could have been a strong center with his talent, visual and stage presence, just like Taeyong, Jaemin and Lucas are for their respective countries' units.
Did Yuta actually say that? When did he say that? There's nothing confirmed about the lineup of NCT Tokyo and they're supposed to be debuting this year
@@polives NCT's concept is to create groups localised for each country. Yuta and Winwin are foreign members who were debuted in 127 to build up their popularity and fanbases first so as to transfer them to NCT Japan and NCT China (now WayV) later. Same for Ten who debuted in WayV first and will be transferred to NCT Thailand/Southeast Asia later. However, Yuta has been dropping hints in interviews about how much he loves 127 and Kpop and will never leave. SM will been holding the latest NCT audition in Japan probably to recruit more Japanese members because now there are only two Japanese members and three Korean members which is really weird.
@@sporeKAfan But couldn't it be possible that he will be in both NCT 127 and Japan? Like Haechan or Mark for example? I'd love to see him as leader of NCT Japan 😊
@@lena__speaking7080 I really want Yuta in NCT Japan. I feel that the current line-up for NCT Japan is lacking a strong center. Yuta is popular and very experienced with great center and leader vibes but he would be exhausted to death working in two units. Mark and Haechan are supposed to graduate from NCT Dream as it was not supposed to be a fixed unit. You can see what happen to their health now that they are in two units.
Shohei had a significant back injury, which made his debut with RIIZE impossible. He is still recovering. He could have a later debut date, kinda like with Jungwoo joining NCT 127 two years after the group already debuted. We don't know right now. I hope SM doesn't drop him!
I'm so curious , where is shohei now?? . It's been over an year ever since he's been on a "hiatus" . Please tell me he's coming back . Any updates on him?? I would love to know how he's doing
beginning of April I read a rumor from a Japanese X account, she provided screenshots about the debut of SMBG specifically for Japan and the IP that was rumored to be solo, Shohei was a solo candidate based on the rumors
Wow Yuta was the first Japanese artist in SM?! That’s crazy to think about I had no idea 😧
I just knew it too omg

And Giselle too right? in SM female idols? she is half korean but she is also half japanese
@@polives Technially no, the first was Shoo from SES, a first gen group but Yuta is one of the first ones
@@polives you mean 2PM for thai JYP artist*** Bambam was never the first one. Nickhkun was the first ever thai idol debuting in Korea
I felt him...the way he said it.."sometimes im jealous, its nice to have each other".
Love them all..!

From what Shotaro said, Shohei was already a trainee before Shotaro but Shotaro debuted first. I wonder how long Shohei trained for
悠太君は本当に大変だったと思う、なかなか出来ることじゃない
私もそう思います
Especially at that age. He was very brave.
