Great video! I have a couple of questions: Does the second Hikvision face recognition terminal not need network or power cables when wiring both terminals to a single door using a maglock? When adding a user to the first reader, will it automatically sync and add the user to the second one as well? How do the events from the second reader show up in HikCentral? Are they logged separately or together with the first reader? Thanks in advance for your help!
Hi, thank you for your question. The reason for using an independant power supply for the external unit is just incase someone removes (vandalises) the external terminal, exposes the power wires for that terminal and bridges them to short/blow the power supply. If the same power supply was used for both terminals, this would result in power being dropped to the internal (secure side) terminal and therefore allowing the door to be opened. Thanks, Oliver
Hi, Once the RS485 protocol has been changed, please ensure the correct RS485 addresses have been set on both units and then both units are rebooted after the settings are saved.

Followed step by step, and wiring continuity confirmed, but I can't get the slave unit to unlock the door via the master. Any ideas?
