This video is missing the first transformation in Revenge of The Fallen when he parachutes from the plane transforms to chase Demolishor, as well as when he goes from truck to robot mode when Megatron jumps him before the forest battle scene.
It's not ALL transformations, It's BEST transformations. Although I do agree, the one when Optimus jumps out of a plane should've been here.

Bayverse Prime was so awe inspiring. The cgi was believable back then, and he was huge.

I remember when I saw Prime transform for the first time in the cinema in 2007, the audience applauded and screamed with emotion, I will never forget it, seeing the autobots in that way was like a dream come true!!!

I don't want to hate ROTB, but I feel like this was what that movie needed. The transformation of the Autobots in these movies was simply great, the presence that they give to each transformation, you feel goosebumps.
I dragged my parents to the movie theater to see the first Transformers. I was only 7 so they were expecting some cartoon like when they were kids. Needless to say they were quite shell shocked

Hey back when CGI actually looks good.
The craziest part to me is the first transformation. I literally cannot tell when the truck changes from real to cgi. When it drives up and then the grill starts splitting it is so fucking seamless. It’s one of the reasons I dislike rise of the beasts the CGI in that movie is sooo bad in comparison and the transformers always look like they are lit wrong in comparison to the environment.

@@GalacticDragon05idk man ROTB had a pretty decent budget. I think the problem lies in the movie company’s wanting there movies out right way and that causes CGI artist to be rushed. Wish CGI still looked this good.

Agree Bayverse designs were the best
CGI went from photo realistic, with so many complex moving parts to today’s CGI looking video game like with simple transformations
Some simpletons complained they couldn't distinguish the robots because of their complex designs. The idiot executives at paramount listened to them and now we have the new garbage simple CGI.
@@gijane2cantwaittoseeyou203 funny thing is that I always felt G1 was hard to distinguish. A lot of the head designs looked similar, they were blocky, and they reused designs to create teams like The Seekers.
@@LRon-ef7niI love G1 but I will have to say this: while it’s not too hard to distinguish G1 characters thanks to their voice and color palettes, what makes it difficult is when the animation team somehow messes up the colors sometimes
There are episodes depicting Optimus either with or without a white stripe, and sometimes characters speak with a voice that don’t belong to them
But the worst offenders still belong to Rumble and Frenzy because hasbro/Takara can’t decide who is who
I will say though that the Bay movies brought us really interesting and iconic designs that by silhouette it’s instantly recognizable - the only real thing I hate about Bay films is how every iteration after the first movie, Bumblebee SOMEHOW has to be a mute
@@ryon5174 I agree. I can identify more Bayformers than G1. I think people who say Bay designs look the same are just hating it’s not G1. Each iteration of TF has it’s own style where they look consistent with that particular version
@@LRon-ef7ni to be fair - majority of the complaints with Bayformers boils down to post-movie 1 Decepticon designs more than anything
People still remember and love Blackout and Barricade, their designs stood out to help with it
But Decepticons are usually recycled models afterwards where they’re just a lump of spikes and thorns, as if they’re meant to be cannon fodder akin to Vehicons or any grunts faced in the TF videogames
But credit where credit is due, the important characters are strategically designed to stand out, which again, if you turn it to a silhouette, people will definitely still think it’s something from Transformers
I still love G1 designs but that’s only because it’s a cartoon and not meant to represent something a bit more real, but Travis Knight’s Optimus Prime seems to handle it well

Ever since I was 10 years old, Optimus Prime has been somewhat of a role model. I'm almost 50 now. In the '80's when the kids' cartoons tried to be aspirational, often with PSA's at the end of them, like He-Man and GI Joe, but there was always some better quality in Optimus Prime.
With all the relics humanity will leave behind when our time is finally up, one of them is almost certainly going to be Optimus Prime that is discovered by whatever intelligent species comes after us.

I've tried so hard to take off my nostalgia filter for the first three movies to fairly compare them with 4 and 5, 4 is kinda growing on me but 5 just is so bad. It has a few scenes that are actually really good if you were to pull them out of the rest of the movie, but other than that it's just ass

i'm not the most knowledgable transformers fan, but these transformations have been nothing, but impressive and realistic from car to robot form and vice versa. also, massive respect to peter cullen for being the voice of optimus prime for many years. mr cullen is a f*cking legend!
But when they riding down the road & he transformed from that old rusty cab-over into that shiny new Western Star at 3:48 though....so 🔥

From what I heard in the first Transformers movie they worked hard on the Transformers making every piece fit for both car mode and transformed mode to try and make it more believable and Optimus had over 200 pieces to his CGI model.

That DOTM transformation will always be a top favorite. Without Ironhide even saying it, the jerkiness with which he changes TELLS you he's pissed. They could have just had him transform, but they went and added emotion to it.
Its why I love the movie designs. While only CGI, so much work and detail was put into them to truely bring them to life.

#8 will always be my favorite. I used to watch it for hours when I was a kid. I just thought it was so cool the way they made it and how his legs came out from the cab and flipped around.

the CGI in transformers and rotf were on point.
I think what makes an Optimus prime transformation is the wide shots. When you can see more of the truck and can visibly see where the truck parts are going when turned into a robot , it makes for a better transformation. It adds the believability that the transformer is actually able to turn into that vehicle

I saw a Lady who looked like Megan Fox today. She was stunning. Not too many out there like her. She looked tough like a soldier, but still a beautiful Lady. That can't be manufactured. It's in the code.

His transformation to vehicle mode in Rise of the Beasts was amazing, with a modern transformation, which is no less than mind blowing, that also mirrored the transformation of the G1 toy. Gave me chills. Unfortunately the rest of the movie did not…

Im slightly annoued there wasn't any ROTB transformations in there because one of my personal favourites is when (SPOILER) Prime transforms back in to truck mode and Noah is a literal rocket on his back, boosting him away from the space bridge.
