As others said, Voodoo doll and Hyde are some awesome pieces of choreo. Voodoo doll uses a staff that gets passed around from member to member and is used to kind of heighten the creepiness of the Voodoo doll concept. Hyde is something that the dance practice is really cool because the dance fully encapsulates the jekyll vs hyde concept, but watching a live where the jekyll members are all wearing one color and the hyde members another brings an extra level to the performance. *screech* YOU GOT TO IT!!! I totally called it - your standout is N (leader, main dancer, vocal). Vixx is known as 'Concept Kings' (this is from others, not themselves but yes they're all incredible visuals) - this concept is from one of the members (Hongbin), and it's about... Shangri-La. Their outfits, choreography, lyrics, everything is tied into the concept. They're wearing a blend of hanboks and suit jackets here, symbolizing an East/West thing (and fun, they have different colors... each one matching a member's birthstone color), the fans are delicate objects with that hard footwork in the chorus, etc. They did a remix version for the MBC 2017 gayo and you need to check that out, it's visually stunning. (It was that performance that got them invited to the IOC as a representative of the Korean culture of k-pop.) I like the actual dance practice (my bias is the one in the black pants lmao - jk they're all wearing black pants) for the spin N did and the fact that he went so hard with his stage expressions in a damn dance practice. (Someone in the comments said that even if you're not a Hakyeon (N's real name) stan, during a dance practice, you're a Hakyeon stan. Everyone has been personally victimized by Cha Hakyeon's smirks and grins.) But this one, I gotta admit I like this version just a bit better. If you're on the Starlight (Vixx's fandom name) train, please look for the Voodoo Doll practice (prop!! and jerky zombie type moves). And Chained Up. And maybe Error. And Fantasy. Of all of them though, if you do a reaction, please do it for Voodoo Doll because it's your favorite thing - props and levels and textures. They're 6 *tall* total dorks - the chaos that would ensue from Vixx and Dreamcatcher being in the same location would probably send half of the managers into hysterics - who do amazing choreographies, amazing concepts , and are somewhat underrated. Their Gayo performances every year are stunning, theatrical masterpieces (esp this last one - Possession on KBS and Resurrection on MBC - two concepts on top of the existing concept for Scentist.) They have one subunit, LR (stands for Leo & Ravi, the two members, but also left/right, angel/devil... concept kings), and Leo and Ravi also have solo albums out. (Leo just finished promotions for Romanticism last week I think.) Thank you so so so much for reacting to Vixx! I really hope you enjoy them more! @@FreshTofuReacts It really is, and I do have to agree with everyone else in that Hyde is also extremely good and that N's solo performance videos might make you go all starry eyed. If you want a rec for Vixx that you shouldn't feel a need to react to, try Chained Up. The dance practice is kinda dark/dim so it's hard to see everything clearly, plus it's one of those ones where the stage outfits make the song, so the MV/lives might be perfect. (Yes, the song is exactly what you're thinking it's about since the concept is love slaves.)

The one who caught your attention is N (Cha Hakyeon), he is the leader of VIXX and is the lead dancer. N also has a background in ballet and modern dance! He's also put out solo dance performances that he choreographed himself!
VIXX are the concept kings mainly because everything they do for a release is to tell a story from clothing to dance to mv to everything. They are known for being one of the taller kpop groups and for some very quick, sharp movements in their dances. They've covered everything from video games to cyborgs to vampires to Mr. Hyde to living dolls. As someone else explained this is based off the idea of Shangri-la aka Paradise mixed in with birthstones and birth flowers and suppose to represent a dream-like love that feels like being in paradise. The one you pointed out is N aka Cha Hakyeon who had won a few awards for dance at national level before he went into the idol career. He's currently doing his military service but you can look up his UA-cam channel where he has loaded several of his solo dances. As for other dances look up Hyde (dr. jekyll&mr hyde), On&ON (vampires) and Voodoo Doll (living dolls) - Voodoo Doll actually had to be changed for live performances due to violence. If you want to see them goofing off during a dance practice, my favorite is their Christmas 'Chained Up' where they were wearing Christmas costumes and Error's Errored. There is also a Dingo dance practice for Dynamite in which the rapper Ravi broke for three minutes that's hilarious too.
My favorite thing about those two dorky dance practices is that both were for fans and that Leo was either hung over (x-mas) or was totally goofing off with his poker face (error..ed?)

I always get so excited when I see people react to VIXX's dances! They have some of the most creative and theatrical choreo in the industry, imho, and it's always a joy to watch (and they are, indeed, an entire team of visuals, thank you for mentioning that XD). This one is definitely one of my favorites of theirs; I love the use of props in choreography as well, so I get super pumped when I see a group's incorporated some into their dances. I would very much love to see you react to more of VIXX's choreo if you liked what you saw here. I'll echo the recs for Voodoo Doll and Hyde, and would also suggest checking out the performances for Love Me Do (Star Show 360 ver., water dances ftw), My Valentine (Show Champion live stage, which incorporates chairs as props), Black Out (M Countdown comeback stage), and Fantasy. The member you said caught your attention the most is the group's leader N (currently serving his obligatory 2 year enlistment in the army), their main dancer and one of THE best dancers of Kpop's 3rd generation imho. He helps choreograph a lot of VIXX's dances, and choreographs all his own solo dances for special performances or concerts. If you like what you saw from him here, I would VERY HIGHLY recommend checking some of his solo stuff out, such as Fate, Last Fantasia, or Passionate Tango. There's only two hobbies I have and they are both in this video? You have great taste! Stan VIXX and Go Hawks! VIXX has a lot of really great choreography, so I hope you do check out some more. Voodoo Doll, Hyde, and Dynamite are really great. Dynamite does not get mentioned a lot for choreo but it's really my fav (the video where they're in the white shirts and ties). Watching them hop, spin, and jump around into different formations is eye pleasing to me.
The 'Fall of Gods' I think they called that one? It's very pleasing and I think it caused a lot of screaming in the fandom. Who needs to show skin to ooze sex, right?

Dont miss their mv and please check the mv after dance practise, I see you're reacting only dance but its okay if you just watch the mv by your own too. Mv is important because its hard to understand whole conceot without it. Since everybody told they known as concept kings you need to react voodoo doll and chained up dance too. Why? Because one of them is a dark magic concept and probably its the scariest mv on kpop and the other one is a bdsm concept and you can clearly see it at dance practice. Also please watch some solo dance practise from vixx members. Like Leo ( the main vocal and the last one who turn back at the end of video) released his 2. Solo album and you need to see his "Romanticism" dance practise. Also Ravi (rapper of group) has soo many solo stuff and please watch his TUXEDO dance practise.

Thanks for reaction and Im very happy fot you like them. Dont miss their mv and please check the mv after dance practise, I see you're reacting only dance but its okay if you just watch the mv by your own too. Mv is important because its hard to understand whole conceot without it. Since everybody told they known as concept kings you need to react voodoo doll and chained up dance too. Why? Because one of them is a dark magic concept and probably its the scariest mv on kpop and the other one is a bdsm concept and you can clearly see it at dance practice. Also please watch some solo dance practise from vixx members. Like Leo ( the main vocal and the last one who turn back at the end of video) released his 2. Solo album and you need to see his "Romanticism" dance practise. Also Ravi (rapper of group) has soo many solo stuff and please watch his TUXEDO dance practise.
the uncensored version of voodoo doll would probably be a bit much for him - he was kinda freaked out by one of Dreamcatcher's MVs.
