Hello! I just got lucky and discovered your videos. I am delighted to hear and watch you explain your restoration, and to take breaks with you. Looking forward to many more videos and adventures. Thank you. Peace 💫
Great video! I'm glad I found you! Shame on UA-cam...after watching most of Baumgartner Restoration's videos, I have searched both "art restoration," and "art conservation" multiple times and your channel never showed up in the results. I stumbled on you purely by accident, and am glad I did.
That is a very nice comment, thank you, I am so happy YT is giving me a chance, by serving you my video, and I am so happy you enjoyed it. I hope in the future I can still produce nice content so you still visit the channel, thank you again
So pleased to have you back. Looking forward to a regular series of videos with your informative and delightful commentary. Always most enjoyable to see a master working with seemingly easy application.
Thanks a lot for your supporting words, I am also so happy to be able to be back, I am truly glad you enjoyed the video, and there are some nice next videos in my plans. Thank you so much for watching it. 🤗
I am happy to see you back. I was wondering what happened to you after many months without seeing no new content. Thank you for this great restoration. Hope to see more in the future.
Really nice restoration. I didn't know you were from Antwerp. We spent a year and a half living there as a result of a work assignment. Beautiful city and experience. We spent many hours enjoying the Royal Museum of Fine Arts.
Thanks a lot for the video. What I am impressed with most of all is cleaning. Beauty emerging out of grime gives me an emotional shock. Looking forward to seeing more
Thank you for such kind words, yes the cleaning is really amazing and I am so happy you enjoyed it, this video shows the complete restoration in a more resumed way, For this project I decided I would add some more videos, with special actions on the restoration, with more detail, yesterday I published another video, but exactly focusing the cleaning of the painting, you can watch it here if you like: ua-cam.com/video/1xP-t9COtKI/v-deo.html Thank you for taking the time to leave me a comment.
I have several comments. 1) YAY you're back. I've missed you, Eduardo. I was going to email you to make sure you were alright and just busy.🤗 2) Thanks for the views of Antwerp. It is gorgeous and I wish we could visit. 3) The Rubins gallery is awesome. I don't blame you for visiting. Are you going to be involved with the restoration in any way? 4) This painting you are restoring here is lovely. And an absolutely stunning result by you. Your filming of this was great, I felt like I was sitting in your studio right by your side. Thank you, thank you for sharing this painting and Antwerp. Don't be gone so long, I missed you.
Ho Vicky thank you very much for your supporting words and feels so good to be able to interact with you and with all of you who leave me a comment, and I can answer. I had a complicated time Vicky, on a personal level, but fortunately, I am all together again, and I hope all of that stays in the past. I am an optimist for the future... I am happy you enjoyed the video and the views of Antwerp. It really is a beautiful city, I did fall in love with this city some years ago. Unfortunately, I am not going to be involved in this Rubens Restoration but I plan to follow it and give some updates on it. I don't plan to be gone, and I hope I don't feel like I did... So I plan to be around as much as possible. I thank you very much and you are already part of my community, thank you very much, ALWAYS.
@@quenoselecruzenadie Thank you, Susan, that is very important feedback to me, I totally agree because the Art world has so many details that deserve attention, I definitely will try in the future videos to have some appointments about art or other things inside the Univers of art. I am very happy you enjoyed it.
What a difference the clean has made to him.Considering the age of the painting it’s in very good condition, most of the damage is around the edges,it may have been reframed a few times to go with the decor over the years to cause that.He certainly is a handsome young man,and the clean has really enhanced his features and his clothes too.Thank you for sharing,I really enjoyed watching the process and the visit to the gallery too 😀
Interesting, I've never gotten a notification on video's anymore except for the last one :(, meanwhile, back in Holland :) Happy to see the channel is growing well!
So nice to hear from you, thank you for letting me know you are back on Hollande, I hope you are feeling happy to be back, and that life is gentle with you. Unfortunately, I think you are not the only one who doesn't get the notifications when I post a new video. But I really don't know what criteria UA-cam follows on that, the majority of my subscribers should get a notification, but they don't... I was some time absent from YT, but now I am back and I will try to make it possible to have videos for you all. Thank you again for getting in touch, and stay well.
@@Figueiredoartconservation Glad to bb back, and I know, UA-cam is not very honest in that sense. They take away subscribers too, I went to Rumble as well, just in case it gets too bad . Happy to have found you again
Hello, not acetone, I normaly use a mix that I adapt considering the response of the varnish of the painting and the paint layer it self, It is a formula I have to always adapt, and there is no exactly percentage of each I can say. but the most used componentes on it are: iso-octaan, isopropanol, Ethylacetaat, amoniak, and others more...
Dear Mikael, this is a solution I prepare my self after testing on the painting I wil be working on, considering the reaction I get on the painting, I adjust it and built a specific formula for that painting in particular this soluction may include several ingredients such as: ossegal, ethyldiamine tetra-azijnzuur, Shellsol D70, DAC (di-ammoniumhydrogeencitraat, amoniac, tri-ammoniumcitraat, demineralised water and Kleucel G.

What solution do you use to remove the varnish? Acetone?

Dear Eduardo, Great job. Can I ask you what detergent you used for the superficial grime of the painting? Best wishes, Mikael

Impressive painting. Was thinking this person is an expert, then you pull out those paint brushes.
And then? what did you think about me?
Delicious...
