I’m using the Tsc7 and site works, can you explain how you closed the break line? I did one similar but had to use outer boundary line. Also, when I saved it as surface it skipped right by the option you show where it lets you select outer most points?
I believe you have to go into cogo and one of the features let's you conect two points. If you create a volume boundary the lines will connect automatically. I'm new to the program but that seems to be working for me so far.

How did he get the 3d view? I couldn't see where the mouse clicked to do that.
