I always come back to My Chem. I'd just casually be listening to another band and then all of a sudden I'm here. Their music will never get old. I think it's impossible for me to get sick of MCR.
Tbh, I have hundreds of songs on my iPod, but all I ever listen to is them, and if I don't it just wouldn't feel right. They saved me. I will never take back a thing, if it meant I didn't find them.
ikr I feel like that if I listen to anything else then I'm "cheating" on MCR (which is stupid I know), but honestly I don't WANT to listen to anything else xD
Hey Samson Cooper, don't say that again because I'm getting pissed off and I'm running out of places to hide the body. Just watch your mouth and I won't have to murder you. -_-
I love how in the photos Gerard looks so serious and dangerous and then you listen to his interviews or just some things he says online and he's just a sunny person with this sass and amazing comic creating skills like, how cool is that?
He seems to be very complex. A mixture of shyness, sass & (at times) deep depression. From one vid. clip to another it's hard to believe it's the same person.
There's something about the first minute and a half of the song before the build up and the second chorus kicks in.. idk it's very nostalgic and that part really hits me in the feels... great song, really miss them...
Its been a total addiction of mine since like a year ago. When I was younger I never pictured myself liking this stuff but here I am now selling my soul to these bands oops
this is my fav ever song omg, i get so emotional whenever i listen to this. The passion, the hurt and emotion Gerard pours into this song is overwhelming, so hauntingly beautiful wow
I haven't listened to this song in a while.. I guess I was scared to. But I cried. I fucking cried and it was the most freeing thing I've felt in an extremely long time. As soon as Gerard said "As lead rains pass on through.." I lost it. So many goddamn emotions flew over me. "As lead rains pass on through our phantoms, forever, forever. Like scarecrows, that fuel this flame, we're burning forever, and ever. Know how much I want to show you you're the only one... Like a bed of roses there's a dozen reason in this gun." The words that got me hooked on this song. Those words were the beginning to a happier, better me. That is exactly where it started. There were so many times I wished to give up, but I didn't. Thankyou Gerard, Frank, Mikey, and Bob. Thankyou for being my saviors. I will always and forever love you. ~~~Jaelynn
This is the history of My Chemical Romance in a nutshell. From the lyrics to the music, is almost as if they knew what was gonna happen. The way it starts slow, then picks up, the moment of silence and then the sudden ending. I loved all of it.
Jade Airheart I've been a fan for about 3 or 4 years and unfortunately I never got to see them live. That's one of the many reasons I was crushed when I heard about the breakup. :'(
Around 1:26 I get this tightening in my chest. As the music buulds up I just feel so overwhelmed. I feel like i can't do something. And though I'm ok and free of any restrictions, I feel so binded and restricted regardless. And then as he starts screaming and then..... It stops. I feel like I failed. I wasn't able to do it. Its over. But the drums kick in and I feel calm. Like its over and I'm okay. Then Gerard comes in and sings softly. Its the most refreshing feeling. And then it picks up again, some riffs here and there. I dont understand how much emotion you can convey is simple sounds. Gerard sings again, and I'm crying. Youre crying. Were all crying. "And as were falling down". I'm drowning in tears. "Ill meet your eyes" and its over. And I'm still crying. This song is so much.
This song makes me feel so everything....like someone is singing it to me but I'm also singing it to someone just so they know how much I love them or I know how much they love me....I'm crying now kthxbai
idk but this reminds me of asotm and Folie A Deux (the fanfic) and i just went through a bad heartbreak so yeah haha triple feels hahahahahahahhaha :)))))
one thing I really love is how this song ends so suddenly despite being the last track on the album because it symbolizes that the story isn't over. the tale of the Demolition Lovers continues as we move on to Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, since Bullets seems to tell their story before their sudden and tragic end. I think it's such a great way to tell a story through music, and I absolutely love how all of MCR's albums have concepts behind them because it proves how great of writers they are.
+Evan “Irish” Nesbitt Yeah, but unless you were in the Jersey post-hardcore scene, you probably wouldn't have know about them until after Three Cheers came out.
(Imagine) It's January of 2013 your still crazy in love with MCR you have all their albums and nearly all their band merch, you even have ticket to go see them live next week!! But then you get into an accident which causes you to fall into a coma for almost 6 months, after 6 months you finally wake up in a hospital bed surrounded by your family and you wonder 'why am I hear?' Once you get home you realise that it was July and you missed your only chance to see MCR live. You open your phone and millions of notifications pop up, you notice one by my chemical romance and the date it was posted was the 22nd March 2013....
Twinkle twinkle little star, where the f**k is mcr? Grabbed their knifes and their guns, faked their deaths, And now their gone, twinkle twinkle little star i hope you know what your doing mcr. I'm just gonna cry now.
This song is much like forbidden love, and it makes my heart melt every time I hear it because this was the song that fit me and my ex, I feel like crying just typing this.
People get at me when I say that pop music doesn't give me extreme emotions and say that I'm heartless for that, but I hate pop music. They say, "If pop music doesn't get you emotional, then what does?" My answer was My Chemical Romance. This song is one that hits me harder than most of their songs and I'm not sure why. They literally said that MCR is shit and I wanted to hit them, but I didn't because that's immature, but still. I think that it gives me the right to say that their music is shit, but I'm going to be the mature one. EDIT: guys i made this comment when i was either 13 or 14 and i’m almost 21 now. i have grown and my view has changed. (still love mcr to this day though) please do not reply thinking that this is still my opinion on music because it’s definitely not.
Alex Grimes though MCR is pop too a diferent kind of pop mixed with rock etc (Alternative rock) but they have a lot of caracteristics a pop song has. I know a page called Punk News that has some good arguments about this...
Alex Grimes Same here :D MCR is one of the only bands that makes me feel a hundred of emotions. And don't you worry about what others think :D who gives a fuck about it it's not like they're gonna give you a job or something. And about this song is one of my favorites and I still don't know why .
Ariadna Meza I wouldn't really say they're "Pop Rock" or "Alternative Rock" (tho their last album really sounded pop rock) I think that they're more of a Pop Punk kinda band. Like, If I only heard they're Revenge album, I would say they're definitely Pop Punk, or even Punk Rock. But they changed their sounds so much that they basically made their own genre, because each album has a new sound which is what I think I love about them so much. :)
Mmm Kitten Sinz ... Well what I tried to say its that every MCR album has a different level of pop (adding the main genre of the album). In my opinion Danger Days is extremely pop with some rock essence and Revenge is Pop Punk, meanwhile Bullets it's kind of emo... So what I tried to say to this guy Alex Grimes is that he can't criticize Pop music because MCR, itself has Pop (even a little) in all of their albums...
All their lyrics are poetry, that´s one of the dozen reasons i love them, thanks My Chemical Romance for all these art: Since I brought you my bullets, you brought me your love until Conventional weapons, although i don´t like the last two albums as much as the others, thanks.
+Paisley Parker what I do is I order the albums on Amazon and then I get the songs on my phone for free BC of prime music, but it sucks that a lot of mcr songs aren't on Amazon
Me too. I saw some goth girls in a store one time when I was little, and my mom said “You never will want to look like that, will you?” I said no, secretly liking how they looked. Now I’m emo. Sorry mom
Especially MCR. I don't give two fucks about the fact that they broke up. It hurt like hell for a while, but I got over it. Now I'm just glad they left us with 12 years worth of music to listen to.
TB Perry i think im always going to be torn up at least a little bit about the fact that they broke up especially since it was the day before my birthday. but like you said, they left us with lots of great music c:
God damn it, this album came out when I was like 2 months old. Why couldn’t I have been born in the 80s?? I missed all the good music when it was happening
There was an art to creating intense, hard-rock music full of feelings in the 2000s. Not as bad as people make it out to be. True gift and talent. A quality band no matter what anyone says.
my favorite part is when it suddenly goes quiet after gerard sang until the end of every... and then the guitar picks up a rhythm so amazing that you can't help but let the sound consume you into this beautiful song! I love this song with a passion!
Everyone’s saying how amazing a beautiful this song is (and I agree, it’s freaking awesome!) but I’m also laughing at the transition from soft and beautiful to full on screaming. It’s awesome, haha!
I love this song so much! I read a fan fiction story about Gerard Way, and the story went along the lyrics of this song. Gerard fell in love with a girl who was almost murdered but he saved her. But then they were kidnapped months later by the same people and he sang this song to her when they thought they would be murdered, but she kind of saved them. But anyway, it was a great story and reminded me of this song. It's called: Someone Out There Loves You After All.
Damn. 'Twas 2003 and I was 14 or 15 when I first heard this. Some girl on the internet sent me the mp3s of this song(whoever ripped the cd had actually cut this song into two!) and I kept listening to them over and over and over. Fast forward to today: I'm listening to folk/black metal. WHEW, lad!
This is my favorite My Chemical Romance song, no matter how many times i hear it it will always have the same meaning to me as it did when i first heard it. This song will always be the best MCR song in my opinion
There's nothing wrong with not liking something an artist makes. Honestly, I think it would be kind of disrespectful to say that you automatically like everything no matter what, just because it's them. All that would show is that you're not fully appreciating it. While I DO love every album they've released, I love them because I think they're amazing and speak to me. And I completely understand that other people may not feel the same way. It's art - you're not SUPPOSED to feel the same way.
I always come back to My Chem. I'd just casually be listening to another band and then all of a sudden I'm here. Their music will never get old. I think it's impossible for me to get sick of MCR.
So true.
So true!! I keep telling myself that if I keep listening to them I'm eventually going to get sick of them but I never do. xD
Tbh, I have hundreds of songs on my iPod, but all I ever listen to is them, and if I don't it just wouldn't feel right. They saved me. I will never take back a thing, if it meant I didn't find them.

2:43 when he says "mean"
His voice cracks and it's absolutely beautiful...
When he says "running" I die a little inside
Piper Jayse i get wat ya mean
I thought I am the only one who noticed it. That " crack " is just so beautiful. Actually my favourite part.
Kat Hatch I love that part
I know I'm 3 years late but I know it was so beautiful ❤
I love how in the photos Gerard looks so serious and dangerous and then you listen to his interviews or just some things he says online and he's just a sunny person with this sass and amazing comic creating skills like, how cool is that?
Maddy Limee kinda like how I pretend to look happy on the outside

There's something about the first minute and a half of the song before the build up and the second chorus kicks in.. idk it's very nostalgic and that part really hits me in the feels... great song, really miss them...
it hits me too and yes I agree it is Nostalgic
Miss too
Didka I wish the song continued on that rhythm. I still love the whole song though. But nothing beats that first minute and a half.
Miss no longer. They’re back in business and I’m actually sobbing
When listening to this song does anyone else get a twisted sad feeling in their gut?
Yes I feel like I'm gonna faint and explode then I burst into tears!
Yes, I did I was in high school, now still makes feel sad.
Yes 😞 It reminds me of Destiel

Welcome to the MCRmy
sadly you'll never see them live. sorry to tell you but they broke up. :(
Jade Airheart I've been a fan for about 3 or 4 years and unfortunately I never got to see them live. That's one of the many reasons I was crushed when I heard about the breakup. :'(
Exactly how I felt. Welcome to the army.
Mary Kelly Same! It sucks huh.
Gerard's Expired Milk I DONT WANT TO THINK ABOUT EITHER OF THOSE FICS NO
one thing I really love is how this song ends so suddenly despite being the last track on the album because it symbolizes that the story isn't over. the tale of the Demolition Lovers continues as we move on to Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, since Bullets seems to tell their story before their sudden and tragic end. I will always be in love with this.

Exactly. Oh God, the memories.
But the songs from 2002 right?
+Evan “Irish” Nesbitt Yeah, but unless you were in the Jersey post-hardcore scene, you probably wouldn't have know about them until after Three Cheers came out.
+Alice Hernandez (Ally) that's kinda like the Bay area and Green Day with 1039/Smoothed Out/Slappy Hours and Kerplunk right?
+Evan “Irish” Nesbitt Exactly. Like when Green Day was still called Sweet Children, pretty much only people in their general area knew of them.
the most underrated song by mcr =/
I know right

Gone. Get over it.
All their lyrics are poetry, that´s one of the dozen reasons i love them,
thanks My Chemical Romance for all these art:
Since I brought you my bullets, you brought me your love until Conventional weapons,
although i don´t like the last two albums as much as the others, thanks.
This is so good.. I will love this song forever.
This song saved my life :)
Thank god!
Jinx Madness No, don't thank "God" they should thank the song and the band, "God" has nothing to do with saving their life.
Jinx Madness I don't believe in God but at least I have the respect to use the right capitalization for his name.
+Jake English Same here.
Nicole03609 AJ but some atheists or people who don't believe in god can be so ignorant.
This is such a great song. MCR is an amazing band. And no two bands are alike. Any band trying to be like MCR would never be as good as them.
this song destroys me every time i hear it. so good. but so sad.
First time I've heard this, I love it so much. It's sweet.
The way he sings 'highway' and 'into your icy blues' is just beautiful. He's beautiful.
2015 and still one of the best songs ever made
i agree
+Kawaii Turtle *2016

SOUND CLOUD
its not where i live.
when I was little i promised my mom i would never become a "scary vampire" (emo/goth).
sorry mom
When I was little, I told my stepdad I wanted to be a bad guy
Me too. I saw some goth girls in a store one time when I was little, and my mom said “You never will want to look like that, will you?” I said no, secretly liking how they looked. Now I’m emo. Sorry mom
"Vampire" is the right term when listwning to MCR XD
But you will never hurt her XD
You think that’s bad, I told my grandpa I wouldn’t listen to “that screaming music with people wearing black”, or something like that, before he died
2016... I can't believe how old this song is...
I need the CD...
(I mean, MP3... I feel so old right now)
Let's all feel old together. I want all of their albums. I will not accept MP3. I'll accept CD's, though.
every time I listen to this song it reminds me of all the Frerard fanfics I have read...
Same tbh

Just popping in to pray the sin away
most under appreciated album of all time
There's so much emotion in this song ..
after watching this i watched every snowflake... and i was like. WTF HAPPENED TO THEM
Novander Gerard’s depression and 2005 ending
Novander is that Lars
Fatherhood happened
Novander no, that was just a song for Yo Gabba Gabba. They kept on making music in their own style. In Danger Days:)
That song was for Yo Gabba Gabba
Music always eases the hardest pains In life :/ it's a big help
Especially MCR. I don't give two fucks about the fact that they broke up. It hurt like hell for a while, but I got over it. Now I'm just glad they left us with 12 years worth of music to listen to.
TB Perry BRO. WITH YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!
TB Perry i think im always going to be torn up at least a little bit about the fact that they broke up especially since it was the day before my birthday. but like you said, they left us with lots of great music c:
I love this song because everything was so mismatched and out of time but it all worked together which made this so heartbreakingly beautiful.
God damn it, this album came out when I was like 2 months old. Why couldn’t I have been born in the 80s?? I missed all the good music when it was happening
His voice is so haunting along side the guitar riff :)
I needed that thank you mcr
I'm more into heavy and thrash metal but this emo side of mine still alive after 6 yrs :)
Me: *3 seconds in* GOSH THIS HIT ME LIKE A BUS ALREADY-
hhhh same
hits different since they got back together!! :D
Id take a bullet for these guys. they've made me a better, open minded person and honestly, i owe them everything.
Yuuri Katsuki saem fuck
I have never appreciated music so much until i met MCR their music means so much to me i spend atleast a hour a day listening to their music.
This song means so much. I cry every time
I love the acoustic in this.... it's just so beautiful.
There was an art to creating intense, hard-rock music full of feelings in the 2000s. Not as bad as people make it out to be. True gift and talent. A quality band no matter what anyone says.
this was posted 6 almost 7 years ago.
Just let that sink in.
Jackieneedsalife 10 years
It’s literally 10 now... woah.
This was posted 10 days before I was born
and your comment? 5 years ago.

And now it's 2016, it's been almost 14 years...
STOP
SHUT UP ITS STILL 2005.
*cries hysterically*
ITS 🕓🕓🕓 TIME 🕓🕓🕓 TO 🕓🕓🕓 STOP 🕓🕓🕓
14 years!? I'm feeling old, what happened to the time? 😮
This is one of the few songs that makes me stop everything and truly listen. Just the first few seconds are so haunting.
I love how this song just slowly melts into my heart, all those long gone feelings.
I love the low quality pictures when it transcends to the second part of the song lmao
I legit feel like I'm going to die alone. 🙁
we all will.
+Frank Lero You were pretty close to your mom when you were born...
lol
is it the dying part, or the being alone that makes us sad?
Same, but who needs people pff (forever alone)
You know you're listening to emo music when the lyric video has red text on a black background.
Alex Baribeault sad but true
I love the romance & the poetry of this song. I think thats why i can't stop listening to it.
my favorite part is when it suddenly goes quiet after gerard sang until the end of every... and then the guitar picks up a rhythm so amazing that you can't help but let the sound consume you into this beautiful song! I love this song with a passion!
Everyone’s saying how amazing a beautiful this song is (and I agree, it’s freaking awesome!) but I’m also laughing at the transition from soft and beautiful to full on screaming. It’s awesome, haha!
I FUCKING LOVE THIS SONG.

I know right!!!!!
I love that story 😭
this song is my current favorite. I loved it years ago, and rediscovered this gem. still adore it.
WHEW, lad!
I love this song
2:53 - 4:10 still remains one of the most beautiful interludes in existence
Why is everyone talking about 2005 in the comments? This album came out in 2002, Just a little confused!
Because 2005-2007 was known as the height of this music and subculture around it.
So sad and so beautiful
lol youtube you joking huh ? where are you hiding the other 6,999 billion views ??
it's conspiracy man
+Spider-Man616 You, apparently.
Spider-Man616 shut up fucking moron
Spider-Man616 You do know that isn't actually offensive right? That's why, I repeat, you are a moron.
+Spider-Man616 what are you trying to be? Edgy? Because it's just cringe-worthy.
it's like they're slowly stabbing me dramatically
maybegabbe I feel like I'm being constantly being stabbed by a spoon when I listen to this
maybegabbe officially the only way I will describe this song
One of the greatest breakdowns I've heard in a song of any genre
This is my first time hearing the full song, and, I. LOVE. IT.
