Reply to Tom, I think you are mixing up reclaimed with recycled. Polypropylene virgin or recycled is the most chemically inert co-polymer commercially available.
I would think the coconut fiber mat ones would be cheaper allowing you to sell to the public at a lower cost. Glad to see the cost slowly lowering on these, but not sure how you are going to get a patent on, what amounts to, a very basic hydroponic system.
Wallgarden is not a hydroponics system. It is a DIY vertical gardening system designed to use soil as a growing medium, although it can and has been used for hydroponics. Coconut fibre products are cheaper, however Wallgarden uses UV resistant, recycled polypropylene which lasts a lot longer; 50+ years.
