Por lo que entendí y leí un poco, el acróbata cayó y perdió sus piernas. Y en la parte que dice "Todos desaparecen" es que él mismo o alguien más devora a los espectadores por el daño que recibió en sus piernas. Le dio una "depresión" o algo así o: (de ahí la palabra Carnival, Caníbal. Un juego de palabras que hizo el autor, ya que su pronunciación es casi igual, pero la escritura no)
