I'm a RN and a chronic patient (diabetes and many other diagnoses), and I can relate to what you're saying and doing a lot! It's just my husband and I at home also, and we've both adopted some eating rules that we try to stick to. IMO, one of the biggest rules we follow is to watch our sodium intake. So many foods in the US (especially when eating out!) contain ridiculous amounts of sodium, and sodium can really damage the body. The only way to truly eat healthy is to make our own. I'm looking forward to everything you do in the kitchen!

I love watching your videos…and my hat is off to you for this one…I lost 30% of my body weight 5 years ago and did not then, and would not now, ever spend so much time cooking. I enjoy watching cooking being done…I enjoy eating…but if it’s not basic and/or quick,it isn’t happening if I’m doing the preparation!! We have no time with our schedules…and doing intermittent fasting is easy and doesn’t require much by way of prep and large meals. Best wishes for your health and fitness journey.

Isn’t all salt sea salt unless it’s a manufacturing byproduct? Like it’s either from an ocean or more usually, where an ocean used to be thousands of years ago?

Mostly. But I have such a sweet tooth. I think for now, as long as it doesn’t pose a problem….i do love a few grapes, or strawberries!

It is….its just always been there…now it’s more of a conversation starter…lol
No grains because my tummy is just way happier. I know they can be perfectly healthy, my gut just appreciates it!

Whole grains are supposed to be a major part of our diet, why would she eliminate them? Of course white rice and flour are basically the same as sugar, but whole grains are really nutritious.
What’s nutritious about them? All carbs turn to sugar. People have been told to eat way too much grain. Do some research.
