@@AodhanSweeney-mf5ht suppose your searches can suit a narrative because the searches I found approached the area of sex workers and most forms of Buddhism and their tenets say about no sexual misconduct which I don't feel sex work is. Maybe your definition of sexual misconduct is skewed though
I literally googled Buddhism and sex workers. The search wasn't even skewed to try and formulate an opinion. And the results speak for themselves.
The texts frown upon prostitutes and those engaged in non-marital sex for non-procreative purposes.
